So looking to get my first thin neck saber. I debated between the Exhalted, Prodigal Son and the Redeemer.
So I decided on the Redeemer, just really called to me. Obi wan fan and love the ROTS design.
This piece is absolutely incredible!!
There is no cons whatsoever on this, for me this will be more of a "shelf queen" Not going to be doing a lot of spinning, where as the Exhalted is better for that.
Pros.
I love the weight of this piece. Pretty heavy.. feels real.
Gorgeous, love the combination of Silver, Black, Copper and Brass.
Really love the thin neck design..just looks like a lightsaber.
Love how the kill key is under the control panel, really keeps the authenticity of the saber.

Color? Light blue? ANH. Deep blue? ROTS. I decided on medium blue, wanted a darker blue but still holding the brightness.. Love it.
This is favorite hilt by far in my growing collection.
Here are some pics and a Saber selfie.

Anybody who has been around here for awhile knows I am am a certified thin-neck nut! So, when I see one of these, it is instantly exciting. I don't have a redeemer in my collection yet, but I do not consider my collection, no matter how many sabers it has (now, or in the future) complete without one!

Congrats sir!
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....

I always enjoy seeing other people's opinions on the thin necked sabers. Obiwan's and Luke's lightsabers are very iconic for Star Wars.

Looks great! One thing I've wondered is this: Does the Redeemer havea the D-Ring on it like the Prodigal Son does? Personally I dislike those covertec discs and prefer the D-Rings as used in the original trilogy far more.

It does not. It has a Covertec on the booster. The Redeemer is Obi-Wan Ep III, so technically it's a "prequel saber".

You could remove the Covertec and put a D-ring from TCSS on the booster, or drill through the gear and mount a ring there (like on the K4 or MK1).

Hi Blade,

Nice review, I share your enthusiasm. I've also recently received the Redeemer and I'm also very happy with it, except for the activation switch (the thin piece of metal that slides up and down). Mine was quite loose to begin with and unfortunately when outside at night a little while back it just fell out and I haven't been able to find it. I can't seem to get support to confirm how I can get a new one so was wondering if you might be able to tell me the dimensions of it so I can make one? I think it's 50mm length, 18mm width and 1mm deep, is that right?

Many thanks!

Matt
