March 14th, 2016 was officially the longest Monday of the year. And you fellow members know why. Because you know this post is in the Review section, and because the Force is strong with this post.
Yes. On Monday I received a long box with a big SABERFORGE stamp on it. It went through a whole winter and crossed an entire ocean to reach me, but it finally did.
So let's get down to the facts.

SaberForge Review : The RELIANT
Grey weathered - Brown leather wrap - 12w+ Regular Green LED with quick connects

I - The wait
★★★☆☆
Order date : December 19th
Delivery date : March 14th
Wait time : 12 full weeks and 1 week end.
It's LOOOOONG. But you know that when you order, so I won't complain. This explains the three stars. It's not good, but it's not bad either :)

The customer service
★★★★★
Seriously, the 5 stars are well diserved. Incredible job done. We all know how stressed we are when waiting for our first saber, especially when it's an international order.
I have been an awful customer, asking a hundred stupid questions and making adjustments to my order, and every time I got a pleasant and positive reply. All the changes asked have been taken into account and the product I have in hand is exactly what I asked for.
So THANK YOU very much. Special thanks to Melissa at sales @saberforge.com who took care of me.

The community
★★★★★
Obviously :)
All the answers to your questions, and all the topics you need in one forum.
The countless hours spent here made the wait so much easier.

The international shipping
No stars here because it's not in the hands of saberforge directly.
For you fellow french customers, know that it took 11 days from Saberforge's factory in Portland to my door here in France. USPS gives the package to our very own COLISSIMO after the customs clearance, and they take care of the actual delivery.
Also, a special care is given by saberforge as they include an european charger, which was also one of my interrogations when I was in the wait. So be reassured.

First time my hands touched the saber
The weight and feeling

★★★★★
I read a lot of people saying they felt their sabers being "light". Which made me picture a totally cheap feeling in hand and made me a bit nervous about my reaction.
I was so happy when I first held the saber, it feels real and solid, just as heavy as you would imagine a real saber to be. Not light at all, not heavy either. Great, great feeling.

The detailing
★★★★★
Incredible. Just amazing.
I am not the first one to say that so I was expecting it to be good, but nowhere near THAT level of details. I could spend hours admiring it and I already made 10 friends jaleous :)

Light
★★★★☆
Four stars because the blade doesn't burn walls to the ground. Otherwise, it's great.
Super bright, illuminates a whole room in the dark.

Sound
★★★★☆
Very nice and loud, sometimes a little bit random on the sounds played but coherent most of the time.

Conclusion
★★★★★
I love it ! I am very happy with my purchase and the way it went.
I don't really know / understand what some people keep reproaching SaberForge. I personally have NOTHING to say about them, I am EXTREMELY satisfied, I WILL be buying from them again, and already convinced some of my friends to do so.

Thank you very much saerforge for the amazing job you do and the wonderful products you build.

And now ladies and gentlemen, pictures ! :)

May the Forge be with you.

That is, without a doubt, the best review I've seen out here in a long time. Amazing mate, well done.

Plus, the Reliant is definitely my all time favorite Saberforge saber. The previous version was my very first saber and my favorite of them all. Sadly, I sold it to make some room for another amazing piece. Sometimes I feel a big of regret, but I tell myself someone else is now happy with it.

Anyway, congratulations on your purchase my friend, and thumbs up again on your review.

Thank you very much mate. I appreciate.
I hope this will help a little guy somewhere, wondering if he should make the order or not :)

Hi Tazendeuk,

An Amazing Saber! The Reliant you have looks as if you picked it up on Jakku or Tatooine, just fabulous.

The review is equally impressive, both informative and balanced in views. Great pictures, I could see the texturing!

I hope this Saber serves you long and well!

It sure will. Have you filed the corners of the activation box/removed it? I always found it to be an obstacle to a comfortable grip. I filed to corners a bit and it became my most comfortable saber, and thus my favorite dueling saber!

Great review, and a fantastic saber! The Grey weathering, the brown wrap, and the green LED just seem to go together so naturally. I just really love the look!

Congrats man! You have my envy, and I can't think of a higher compliment I could give to a fellow saber owner. B)

Thank you For Tyeth :)
And thank you too Brax ! Great compliment indeed !

Yes Revan you're right about the control box. Didn't do much spins with it yet as it still has an immense value to my eyes right now :p but still, I already figured that this would become an obstacle to a comfortable grip.
I will try to do something about it and let you know how it came out.

Excellent. I suggest you remove the activation box before filing the corners, otherwise you might damage the saber itself. You need to remove the little copper card in order to unscrew the saber. I suggest you use a knife or something like that to do so. Once you are done, you can glue it back on using super glue or something like that.

Yeah, the weathering throughout (but particularly the pommel) is phenomenal. Congrats, and thanks for sharing your review!

Agreed. SF's detail work on the Reliant and Juggernaut pommels are always top notch.

I tend to think these 2 are the nicest pommels Saberforge offers. No wonder I bought a Juggernaut pommel from a friend to put it on my Monarch hehe!

Tazendeuk, Ridiculous Saber you have there. Ridiculously Exquisite! The highlights of the Grey Weathering compliment the aesthetics of this Hilt with a momentous impact.
It's difficult to imagine it in any other finish.
Your Review has been constructed well. Credit to you with the integration of the Star Rating visual. I dare say you have pioneered this visual reference and many Reviews that follow will mimic its use with the many that will follow. Great Work. I am sure you'd agree that nothing is out of place (other than having to remove it from your hand and set down for the pictures) with this instrument ergonomically designed as now, an extension of you.

Excellent choice and congratulations with your recent acquisition with successful delivery.
Thank You.

This saber looks amazing! Truly a magnificent weapon! Congratulations!

Also, is there a difference between 'weathering' and 'grey weathering'? I'm still figuring all of this out, but I am sure of one thing and that is that your saber is incredible.

Great review, the stars approach never gets old. Like the gold blade plug. Enjoy you're new saber.
