Major and minor orbits are the foundation for good flourishes, I still work these techniques to keep my form tight and my flourishes smooth. Train slow and the speed will develop in time.

That's awesome! I know for instance that starting with slow movements and increasing speed slowly help to master the movement and its precision at high speed. I've been preparing a video for a few months with my brothers where we're dueling with SF sabers(the fight is planned, but still). On the same basis, we are practicing our movements and our contacts slowly, increasing our speed a little bit each time to get precision and safety, because we all know that too fast and it's easy to smash you opponent's hand. At the end the result is pretty impressive.

I know they were using the same techniques for the original movies. There should be more guides/videos like yours on the internet to help people learn how to execute properly some basic movements with ease!

Keep up the good work!

Hahaha yeah! I loved the Staff Major and Minor orbit tutorial that you guys posted on Facebook yesterday! I've spent a good hour trying to master the movement. I'm trying to learn how to properly use a Saberstaff, so this is very helpful!

Keep them coming!

Only thing I would suggest is filming in landscape. Please don't ever film in portrait! Haven't watched the video yet, but if it's like the staff video, it should be good!

I see this working for someone who prefers to defend themselves, like beginner duelists. On this topic, have you considered working on a attack based spin?

Wow, I'm really bad. If I'd just slowed down my movements I could've gotten the hang of spinning a long time ago. Now I'll actually be able to get them down!

Out of curiosity, if you don't mind my asking, what was the saber you were using?

That was a custom MHS saber I named Excubiarum. I can't wait to see your videos!
