Well, I kind of thought the battery holder SF sold would fit their 18650B - but, the holder looks like one for a flat top, and with the 18650b stuffed in there it bows the holder a bit.

I wanted to use the holder in the Revan build so I could swap batteries if needed. Any suggestions on making that holder work? (Looking in Kouri and HotRod's direction's)

Was thinking about trying to pull at the connector "flap" and cut it thinner, and then use some needles nose pliers to squeeze it a thinner. (does that makes sense?)

The 3400mAh Panasonic cells are longer than standard 18650s, so you're going to have trouble using the protected button tops in darn near any battery holder.

I needed the funds for other things and didn't grab any spare batteries during the last sale. Kinda bummed cuz I wanted more juice for the crossguard next con. Anywho, I don't have any experience using one of the Panasonics in a battery holder yet. Last few I had were either pre-wired or directly soldered to.

Plan b I guess. Cold solder to it and buy a Goth chassis.

Or.... Plan C... MAKE A CHASSIS!

I'm thinking PVC, carve it up, paint and weather it. general bad-assery

Anyone know what the right size PVC tube to get is off the top of their heads for an ASP body, so I don't have to bring a lightsaber into the hardware store to see what fits?

Not that I'm opposed to bringing along a saber....

There isn't one.

Either cut a slit in some 1.25" PVC sink tube (~1.25" OD) to allow it to compress down to 1.125", or put some Velcro around 3/4" Class200 Pipe (~1" OD) to snug it up.
