Jas-Ot Offline Platinum Member Posts: 796 Thank you received: 209	I was playing around with some fonts and thought I might give making one a try, or at least modding one. Specifically for NEC boards. I was using Audacity to modify the WAV files, but I can't seem to get them to export into a format that the NEC board will actually play. Any advice or tips?

Snakeeyz99 Offline Platinum Member Posts: 514 Thank you received: 178	Naigon's config tool has a built in converter that's worked for me (I made an April Fools font out of mouth sounds I recorded in Audacity before). It should convert the WAV files into usable ones. I know there's some way to get it to recognize and convert the files as a batch, but when I did mine it was one at a time with manual tweaks to the sound counts in the config file.

So, does it matter at what bit rate I export the audio files then? and too funny, I was going to do that same thing, make a "funny" font with mouthed saber sounds, you know, the Vroooommm, SWAWISH, vrrr vrrr vaaaarrrrmm sounds we all did as kids?

Brady329 Offline Premium Member Posts: 88 Thank you received: 66	Make sure when you import the sounds you do it as Raw Content (Using Audacity) then make sure they are at 22050hz and mono. I usually do this then still run them through the NEC Config to be sure.
