Does anyone know or have a link to the shrink plastic SF uses around the Hero and v2 PnP kits? I'd like to use it on some of my up and coming bang around hilts. I'm just not finding a source for it.

You mean the Blue stuff around the battery and board? Search for "Heat Shrink Wrap" on ebay, you'll find all kinds of stuff. I think most of it is clear though.

If you mean the black stuff on the battery and quick connects, thats that liquid electrical tape goo.

That's the stuff I'm talking about, I'll do some digging and see what I can find using that search, thanks

Besides the shrink wrap, you could do a cheap battery sled and Velcro chassis. That's what I do for my "basic builds" or beaters.

I'm using 2 left over MR flex conversion cards, I plan to split 7/8 blade stock and wedge the cards in and glue a 28mm premo speaker on for these S&D sale flex hilts I got from Tcss for these beaters I want the thin plastic to kinda hold it all together but be easy to service.

Here's the basis of the "basic chassis" I build.

Battery sled, Velcro strip down each side with extra length at the end, the two ends fold over. Glue Velcro to the back of the speaker. Attach to the back. Then two wraps of Velcro around the chassis at the front and rear. Works on just about any ID hilt, just need to adjust the two wraps of Velcro for fit.
