Hey guys,

I was going to scour the manual but I thought someone here might be able to save me some time. What are good settings for swing and clash sensitivity on the nano biscotti and what values should I tweak?

I would drop 'ls' to 45 or lower, to make it more sensitive to short swings. You can also fiddle with 'i' to make it more "verbose" overall.

If clashes aren't sensitive enough for you, bump up 'i' a bit first, then if that's not enough drop 'lc' down a bit but make sure to keep a good gap between it and 'hs'. IMO, 'lc' and 'hs' are fine as-is on my Crystal Shard and Prizm boards.

The 'clash' value is a limiter for consecutive clashes, so multiple clash sounds don't "run over" each other. Similar for the 'swing' value. It would be sooooo nice if NEC boards still had this feature; that's my biggest complaint with the SC2.

These are the settings that I have on my Ardent (CS3) and Vengeance (Prizm4):
lc=400
hs=220
ls=35
i=57
swing=200
clash=150

It kind of depends on the hilt, and where the NB sit in it. But Kelborn's advice is sound.
I have yet to need to fiddle with any of the clash settings on a PL board. They are damn near perfect right out of the box. Generally just lowering ls (Low Swing) is enough on most hilts. If you have one where the board is installed close to the center of rotation then adjusting the overall sensitivity with "I" will help as well.

I feel like I should take up fencing with how much I like to do short thrusts and slashes as opposed to long sweeping swings, lol. I mean, on the off-chance I ever meet a 6-fingered man...

Thanks for this! I'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion for the flicker setting? I'm not doing FoC on my first build but I'd love to have a nice flicker on the LED to add to an unstable look/feel.

I actually just did that the other day with a Crystal Shard board:

flks=7 (controls the frequency of flicker)
flkd=75 (controls the depth of flicker)

That's what I setup for Madcow's new Spitfire font. I may play with bumping them up a tad (flks=9, flkd=85).

EDIT: Link to a video on my Google Drive.
