I have a LED Luxeon Deep Red/RED/Amber, I'm trying to figure out which resistor I should be using, but cant seem to find a data sheet. I didn't order this LED it came as a Bonus with a EBay Hilt, decided it would look great in the DV6, I'll be running it on a Prizm v4 if it helps, just need to know the Forward voltages @ what MA.

I don't have much experience with Luxeon but I'm thinking these need to run @ 700ma at least the 2 reds, usually the ambers are fine @ 1000ma IIRC, but if I ran the 2 reds @ 1000 ma, meaning a 1.5 ohm resistor instead of a 2.2 would that fly?

The reds will run anywhere from 1.6 to 2.8 volts, the pcA will run up to 3.5. all three have max rated current at 700ma.

I use a 1ohm on each red and adjust the drive settings at appropriate. Pc amber you could run a .5 ohm on

So if I math correctly using a 1 ohm resistor on the Die's, my drive settings would be around 850 for the reds, and would be fine at 1023 for the amber.

That sounds about right. You could experiment a bit though. You'll be able to overdrive them a bit.

Depending on when it was ordered, PC Amber wasn't an option for LEDSupply custom Luxeons, so it might very well be a standard Amber that can't go over 700mA.

I factored that in, 3.2 volts @ 700ma calls for a 1ohm resistor for the amber it ranges from 2.31-3.51 volts, so I'm thinking I can just drive that @ 1023 on the color setting and be fine and can always tune it down a tad. The 2 reds I'm going to toy around with between 800-875.
