so im placing a Bane order soon at the warrior tier, my question is is it possible to add sound to it at a later date once more money comes in? and if so how hard is the wiring / soldering /what is required
(ps. i live in australia so posting it to anywhere that isn't local is not an ideal option) thanks in advance for helping out this saber newb |

Hello there,
As far as I understood (still haven't done it), you can upgrade from Warrior to Champion at a later time either by using the future ASP kit or by sending it back and paying for the upgrade. Not sure how easy or hard the soldering will be, I suppose the ASP kit will be fairly easy. Andro |

i'll have to look into the ASP kits as they draw closer to a release, sending it back for an upgrade is not economically viable due to shipping costs from australia

If you plan to use an ASP electronics kit, I would get an Initiate hilt and ask the Forge not to glue anything. Just explain you plan to do your own install and have them drill the switches for you, then drop the ASP electronics in once they're available.
As far as I know, anything you order now is still using the "standard" electronics installs, not ASP, and will not be plug and play. You'd need to send it back for an upgrade or have a local smith take a look. |

hmmm, i think i might go with the warrior set up and and just bite the bullet later down the line and pay the extra cash to send it in, although if there are any aussies here that know a local smith that can do the job give me a heads up

I think your best bet would be to tell them you plan to install the ASP kit at a later date so they drill out the switch/charge holes and do not glue it together so you can unscrew it all to install. Shipping from Australia would probably be bloody insane.
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but the ASP stuff looked plug and play, no soldering experience required. This would be pretty simple to install. |

it is insane generally, i didnt think the warrior tier bane would be glued, as it has electronics / batteries / all those holes drilled already for the switch and in hilt charge
Tier 2: WARRIOR 12w -Includes CNC machined 6061 saber handle, with blade plug, and covertech knob. -Includes 12w LED, and V4 infinity edge blade. -Includes In hilt recharge, kill key, and 3A smart charger. is what im aiming for btw just wanting to add sound at a later date as i dont have the extra 200-300 for the sound atm (damn you exchange rate) |

If you're comfortable soldering the wiring yourself, it shouldn't be too hard then. Should just be a matter of adjusting the battery and LED wires to go through the sound along with the power switch.
Hopefully someone with experience in wiring their own sabers after order can give you more details. |

if its just as simple as that then it shouldnt be too hard, might scrounge around a bit more on the DIY boards and see if anyones done anything similar

I realize that he's got a lot of stuff going on, hence why he stepped back from being a moderator here, but DarthMario (AKA Shameem) did a complete Bane install recently. He would be a great person to ask.

Well i decided to just go with the champion tier and eat ramen for a week lol now the wait begins (queue praying to the saber gods)
