Hi there,
I bought my first lightsabers from Saberforge, the Arbiter and Consular, Champion tier. They arrived a week ago, one month after ordering, going through customs and all. I'm very happy with them, they are amazing!

The Arbiter works perfect but the Consular didn't react twice on movement with the sound on. After powering down and up with the kill key, it worked again. Since then it didn't happen again, so I hope it was just a rare fluke.

I want to duel with it for play, so I bought two lightsabers to ensure I have someone to duel with me haha. My favorite is the Arbiter with Indigo LED, so that will be the one I use and practice with. :cheer:

I made an unboxing video. It's not a very good video, I'm new to this and still learning and experimenting. ;)

Great choices for your first SF sabers!

Consular was my first SF hilt (with Amber LED) so I have a special place in my heart for that one. Indigo is such a lovely color and really looks great on the Arbiter.

You should charge the batteries on these if you haven't done so already. Low battery is where most soundboard issues on a new hilt come from.

Depending on how you wield these hilts, you may wish to replace the Covertech knobs with D-rings, or simply remove them entirely. They tend to get in the way of your bottom hand when using a two-handed grip.

Thanks, Jas-Ot! I did some homework. ;) But they are also the most appealing to me in the Apprentice level.

I think I won't have too much problems with the Covertech knobs as my hands are very small. But I'll keep it in mind, should the knobs get in the way. Thanks for the tips, @KelbornX! :)

Hi DawnDreams,

Great video and an even better choice of sabers. Our Administrator, Brax, owns a Consular and our previous Administrator, Knytiri, owned an Arbiter so you have good taste!

The Indigo compliments the Green beautifully (I am sensing your fashion experience helped choosing colours).
I hope they serve you long and well.

kind regards,
For Tyeth

Love your saber choices! The consular is my personal favorite in the apprentice line, and green is my favorite colir so that is just amazing looking. The arbiter is definitely on my to do list as well and that indigo color is amazing. Enjoy your new sabers may they serve you well in the many duels I'm sure are to come. :)

Thanks SadiraOphesu! I love the green too and am glad I chose that one as my second saber. The green is also a color that is true to the consular. ;) The green is a really strong color and fuller and deeper than the indigo. Nevertheless, the Indigo is still my favorite color. The purple has a little bit too much of a pink tint, but the indigo is a deeper color and has a blueish shade, so that is why I chose indigo. Really happy with both sabers. :)

If you do what KelbornX said and remove the covertech wheels, (which is good advice depending on grip) make sure you check the hole for burrs. I wanted to remove the wheel from my Redeemer, but they didn't do a great job at drilling and tapping the hole. Not only is it burred, but there's evidence of false start, a wander, and a second attempt. This is hidden by the wheel, so it stays on. So if you do remove the wheel, make sure it's smooth so you don't rip up your hands.

Good advice there wamphyri13. I haven't had that issues on any of mine so far, fortunately.

If I'm not adding a D-ring, I put a button head screw in the hole to cover it up. You could also put a set screw in it if you prefer it to be flush. Better than having a hole in your hilt, imo.

Yeah, it really depends on where the wheel mounts. On my Little Black Shoto, the hole is in the last groove of the Katana (short) body, so it's inset at a lower level. My other sabers have them on the higher points, not in grooves. Looking at store photos, the Consular has narrow grooves while the Arbiter has wider grooves. They both look like the holes go through the grooves. If they do, my guess is that the Arbiter is going to be the deeper of the two.

The more I see the Apprentice sabers in-depth, the more cool they look. Definitely thinking of either getting a Bastion or maybe an Arbiter or Consular as well.
The Indigo is indeed awesome! I myself am very happy I chose Indigo over standard purple for my Reborn. :cheer:

Btw, just out of curiosity, are you perhaps Dutch? The accent in the unboxing vid gives me that vibe, but could be misstaken ;)

Aha, welkom ;)
Cool to see SaberForge reaching more and more countries across the world with their fine brand of products.
And yeah, it's a gorgeous country, been living here for 5 years now and still it manages to amaze me almost every day/week
