This is my very first saber build ever. I've wanted to build a saber for about 15 years now and finally pulled the trigger. I tend to bite off more than I should on first attempts at anything, but that just leads to good learning experiences. This was no different; it was a great learning experience and I'm looking forward to being able to take what I learned to make a better saber next time.

The etching was done with a salt water bath and a car battery. The emitter etch got a little deep and the resist leaked a little, but it played well into the aesthetic of well used but cared for. The Emitter etching is the last 3 lines of the "Sunset Prayer of the Whills" and the etching near the bottom of the handle is simply a signature.
The blade plug is one I made myself using an idea from online. It is simply the head (minus the blade) of an electric shaver glued onto a polyc section.
The wiring was by the far the place I learned the most and I may have made the wires too long as it was quite difficult to fit it all inside
