Hmm, actually blade plugs don't look as bad I thought on the thin necks, should I make it standard to send blade plugs with thin necks?

I think it looks fine. Maybe you could also roll around some ideas for plugs for the thin-necked sabers to make them even more unique, too?

Yea they look pretty good! Note though, I had to take a dremel to this one to make it short enough to not show the clear plastic, it's roughly about half the length of the smaller of the 2 Blade Plug lengths you offer.

if you frost the polycarb with wet sandpaper it may help defuse the light a bit to give it a glow ring effect... if thats what you are into

Phil you should definitely have a blade plug for your thin neck sabers. I customized one of your blade plugs myself by cutting away the bottom aluminum part of the plug, leaving only the actual plate part with the hole designs, then I glued that onto a shorter blade section and voila! Instant thin neck saber blade plug: |

Looks pretty cool with the plug, but one of the things i like about the thin neck sabers is that they kinda look like they already have a blade plug due to the shaft in the centre of emitter.

I just ordered a redeemer. I assumed it would come with a plug since the description for the blade plugs on the site says something like "perfect for those of you that have lost your blade plug". Your blade plugs are cooler than any others and I've seen so I was really hoping it came with one.

Currently, the thin neck sabers (Redeemer, Prodigal Son, Exhalted) do not come standard with a blade plug. All other sabers include a blade plug when you order. You could always order a blade plug separately and then modify it to fit your Redeemer
because I agree, the SaberForge blade plugs are SO EXQUISITELY BEAUTIFUL!!! Phil and his team really have done a fantastic job on them.

I just received a Redeemer Warrior 12W in Cyan. Looking at your pictures it looks like you have the recharge port and kill key next to the activation box. What gives? I thought that only the the Champion and above came like that? |

I know there was some discussion about blade plugs with thin neck sabers on the forum, and some of you have posted your modifications of the standard plugs to fit thin necks. Has SF decided to send blade plugs standard with thin necks even though they dont fit properly? I know i wouldnt mind getting one with my exhalted. I could always hack away at it to make it fit.

DarthDfresh as far as I am aware SaberForge is not providing blade plugs with thin neck orders. If you want one for your thin neck, you'll have to add the blade plug to your order from their accessories page.

Hard to tell. It is so difficult to get a realistic representation of LED colors using anything but the most elaborate of cameras. Some are better than others, but almost always when photos are posted, they come with the caveat "looks much more like *choose your color* in person. The camera does not do it justice".
There is a section on the main SF page showing pics all of the available colors for quick reference. |
