Hello,

Does anyone know where you can buy / order brass thumbscrews? I'm looking for knurled and ball head type. Want to customize my Phoenix for the shroud and LED+blade retention screws. Also, I believe the size would be 8-32 and I'll most likely need to grind the screw down to fit properly.

Much appreciated.

I've used machine screws for a tattoo gun. it's not as common but is my preferred choice. search ebay for them, you'll find some decent ones.

I actually just went to Lowes and picked these up (there's to a pack): http://m.lowes.com/pd/The-Hillman-Group-2-Count-8-32-x-34-in-Flat-Head-Brass-Plated-Thumbscrew-Drive-Standard-SAE-Machine-Screws/3012696

They're in the screw/bolt section (aisle 15 in my local store) in one of the specialty screw drawers (this whole aisle is kind of a pain to shop in because of this). It's also where you can find 3/16" brass and aluminum rods for using as chassis spacers (since TCSS is always out) and oddly enough, AA and AAA battery holders (I picked up a AAA one for LED testing).

Great, thanks for the suggestions. I ended up getting some off of ebay, following the tattoo suggestion. Lowe's Canada doesn't seem to stuck those flat head thumbscrews. Oh well.

Hey just thought I'd post an update for the thumbscrews t I found on ebay. Had to buy in bulk (25pcs), but that's okay because it took a bit of trial and error to get the lengths right :)

For about $4.50 each, I'm definitely interested. Brass or Copper???

I like the brass myself. It's a gold colour.

These are the ones I went with.

The larger one has a 1/2" diameter and is a tattoo part.

I vote brass too! I do like the ones you found. I just think that brass goes with more of the sabers and you can get a brass covertech knob to go with them.

Here is what I went with.
