The hole where it holds/releases the blade won't come out/loose no matter how many times I spin it to the left. I think that it's stripped???

Has anyone experienced this??

I'm curious to know how much you tightened it?
The set screw is only 1/8" long. Perhaps you turned it in too far to the point where it came out the other end so may no longer be threaded in place?

It's just stuck in place; it's not deep at all. In fact, it looks like how it's suppose to look at first glance. it just won't 'come out'.

UPDATE:

I finally got the little shit out. It stripped so much to the point where I had to use my other handy while applying a lot of force to remove the stripped screw.

But now I need to replace it. Know where I can order said part?

The thread is #8-32 and a new set screw or thumb screw could be picked up at most hardware stores.

The thumb screws are 8/32 and are steel. The hilts are Aluminum, so are the screw's threads stripped or the hole in the saber? Most likely the threads in the hole are damaged!

No the hole where you insert the tool to actually rotate it within the hold of the saber itself was stripped. it would not rotate at all until I moved a size up. It got stuck on my size up but no indication whatsoever of the saber itself being damage with its thread.

SO,

THE SCREW IS DAMAGED, NOOOOOOOOT THE SABER ITSELF.

Geez man alright, you really didn't clarify that very well. When you mention stripped screw, most of us here assumed you ment the TREADS and not the FASTENERS HOLE! Carry ON,,,,, B)
