Anyone know what the threading is on the covertec screw? I want to remove it from my Archon and replace it with a flat head screw so the shroud doesn't slide around.

It's 8-32, just like the other screws SF uses (though they all seem to have different sized sockets).

Thanks. It looked larger than the blade's set screw.

As per what Jaden said, it most likely is 8-32. I have had an issue where some of my sabers have shipped with 10-32 screws in the Covertech knob. You'll know if the 8-32 is too small, but it most likely will be a 8-32.

Easiest way to see is if the covertec knob screw will thread into one of the retention screw holes without much effort.

Of the 8-32 screws SF uses, the covertec knob one requires the largest Allen wrench, followed by the claw screws and lastly the retention screws.

Probably helps speed up production if they don't have to swap out bits on the drill press for every hole.
