I don't like how the 12mm switches sit so low in the hilt. I've so far had no luck finding an o ring that fits around the switch and also into the cut hole. Anyone had any luck finding something?

Thanks.

Hi Kazul,

I don't know what saber you own so don't know the outside diameter of it but if you search the TCSS website for "12mm AV switch bezels" you might find something that is suitable. At this moment they have two sizes. The bezel for 1.3" diameter hilts is out of stock but they do have the 1.45" version.

Rob "MadCow" Petkau made a great video on YouTube for TCSS showing how to use them. (Video title "Of Switches and Switch Holes")

Hope this helps,

Thanks I have seen those, and I have a dissident. I don't believe they will fit and also raise the switches a bit much. Currently the switches are indented into the handle and I just want to raise them by like 1-2mm. An o ring would be perfect but I've yet to find one thin enough to fit into the hole and sit below the switch.

Hi Kazul,

No worries, sorry 'bout that. I am sure some of the other members like Jas-Ot, Kouri, BoostinX and Vechaljian will have better suggestions as they buy way more parts than I do!

Good luck in your search,

You want to raise the whole switch, or you just want the button raised up?

You could buy a 12mm O-ring (would likely have to get a package) and that should work. Try E-bay. Or you could look at replacing the switch with a "raised" style switch.

The whole switch would be preferred. I had tried a 12mm o ring but it wouldn't fit into the hole in the switch section.

Is it lit or unlit? If it's lit, what color?

Try E-bay for a raised lit switch - If you can't find one, PM me I have some lit raised ones, I may have a red one but I'd have to check what I have.

Thanks, not sure why I hadn't thought of the simple solution of just using a taller switch. I'll hunt around for one. I had also just picked up a roll of 18ga steel wire to make my own "o ring".

Thanks for the help guys.

Edit:
For anyone who wanted to use the 12mm anti vandal switches but wanted them raised a bit more, a 19ga steel wire worked great. A single layer of the wire made into a ring raised the switch up to be the perfect height. I figure I may replace the switches for a more permanent solution but this has worked great so far.
