Anyone have some suggestions on keeping their polished hilt clean? I can see it getting dirty with minimal use.

This is what I use, it's especially good on the brass sections
 
Steel wool is also great for getting out minor scratches on the aluminum. |

Any tips for sand paper grit to remove the powder coat on the Phoenix and get the aluminum finish back? I was thinking 400 grit, followed by 600 grit to finish Aluminum oxide sand paper?

For detailing vehicles, some instructions start by having you wash the vehicle with blue Dawn Soap. I would wipe it it down with a damp rag with Dawn on it. You could make it easier to clean by using a polymer sealant like Zaino or Blackfire but I think it would make it too slick.
