I was getting the last accent LEDs and all the resistors I needed this past Wednesday for the k4 but the postman dropped it off at the lobby/reception office. since I live in a townhouse and there are no office anywhere the post office is currently trying to find the package and my build is on hold. the saber is currently sitting on a shelf and I noticed it has started tarnishing on the outer emitter ring and on the brass neck. I need advice for how to deal with this tarnishing?

Brass polish and some elbow grease. ;)

Or if you're going for a weathered K4 (ANH version) ... I would just leave it and let it tarnish naturally. I'm letting mine sit out while it waits for install so it gets that lovely natural tarnish.

well i have elbow grease coming out my ears so I'll have to pick up some brass polish. will it work for the out emmiter too or will I need a different type of polish? I'm doing the build AFBB cause I love how the parts looks when they are shiny. thanks for the tip!

Any polish that says it can be used on brass should work. I know there's all kinds of metal polishes out there lol.

Since the emitter should be aluminum, you'd want an aluminum polish for that. Mother's Mag & Aluminum is what I recommend for that. Weird though... my K4 came with a black emitter.

good to know. The K4 emmiter comes black for easy weathering but since I'm doing the whole hilt clean I sanded it all off.
