Again, this is a dude who went through customs (which has a surprisingly fast turnaround time though they are no longer open to orders currently) or else he lives near the showroom and went in there to place an order.

You really gotta stop spreading this idea that a few lucky random people are getting really fast turnaround times on their orders. It might lead someone to unrealistic expectations at best or getting mad and accusing SF of favoritism among customers or some other such nonsense at worst.

Like I explained in the last thread, local people can go into the showroom and buy a saber on the spot. If they don't like one of the sabers in stock they can put an order in and have it custom made in a very quick time frame. Like 2 or 3 weeks or so. SF makes a special concession for local business customers. These people you are finding are falling into this category most likely.

No one is magically getting their saber order in 2-3 weeks when the lead time says 6-8 weeks and the staff have said it realistically is even longer at this time! Until they update us that it has decreased in time, no good can come of picking out videos of people like this and representing it as the norm.

Kjarr Offline Junior Member Posts: 23 Thank you received: 7	It's not really a big deal....as the video poster stated he probably got his sabers so soon because it's a custom order. 6-8 weeks of lead time is completely acceptable. In any case the whole black Bastion thing is really taking off. At some point I may send my standard finish Bastion in for a custom black paint job. I'm really looking forward to Saberforge releasing their graflex line as well!!

In fact,all the new apprentice sabers "Kick-ass". A little FYI concerning this (black) finish. I'd asked Justin and he is sand blasting a standard finish hilt, then anodizing them to achieve this finish.
