You shouldn't be drilling into a lightsaber blade in the first place. What's your goal here?

Im trying to use a v4 blade for a completely non saberforge saber, and im not sure how to secure the blade. I think drilling a hole in the blade and running a screw through the whole thing would work. Any ideas?

If you do drill through, you're going to need a drill press, vice, bubble level and a wooden dowel. But be advised.....
WARNING: EVEN IF SET UP EVERYTHING CORRECTLY WITH THE VICE, THE DOWEL, (WHICH GOES INSIDE THE OPEN END OF THE BLADE) THE BUBBLE LEVEL, ETC. YOU CAN AND PROBABLY WILL MESS UP THE INNER DIFFUSION WRAP.
That's just a piece of information. Good luck.
No matter where you go, there you are.

I think pretty much all saber companies simply use a small set screw (8-32 size seems most common) as a retention screw through the emitter that tightens onto the blade. It holds it in by friction and tension.

There shouldn't be any need to drill into the blade itself.

TCSS sells the set screws on this page, in 1/8", 1/4", and 3/8" lengths.
