5/5 Rating. The balance with The 32" blade is at or near the perfect point for single handed Escrima/kali (Philipino Martial arts that has an emphasis on weapons).
Dimensions with blade: 39" Location of balance: 5" up from pommel Overall feel: comfortable, lighter than my aluminum practice batons with better distribution of weight. Almost flickable, directional changes are not as fast as with rattan batons but I think that's because the saber is new to me and I need time to adjust. Grip feels amazing, buttons sit just out of the way so I don't accidentally turn it off lol. Form and style: Indigo LED, Weathered Finish, with Cobalt Stingray wrap. Evokes images of old naval welders and emphasizes that the device was purpose built with aesthetics secondary to function. Overall impression: Awesome, a real underdog that has a lot of potential and works exceptionally well with my fighting style:)

It needs a brother though. Here in San Diego there are very few people who wield twins properly, and I've been asked to set an example lol.
Also, what are the thoughts on a 26" blade for both or should I still with 32"? |

Short answer: A lot. I am good enough with 14-26" blades and I use a hybrid Boxing stance which when I parry allows me a degree of control over an opponent's blades, and the way I hold both sabers is similar to Italian fencing (cone of defense), but an opponent with a longer blade proves to be of higher difficulty.

I love the Sentinel hilt. Would love to see additional pictures that you may have of the hilt, illuminated.
From what I can see, it looks fantastic and that you are getting a feel for the hilt in your hands. Congrats on a fantastic pick!! |

well, I only expect to look different than my compatriots. I think so far since I have the shortest hilt in my practice group, I have a leg up. the containment blade should further solidify that.
at 26" I'm hoping my Abaniko/Bitik maneuvers will be better than what they currently are with the 32" blade. but honestly I am in love with the range advantage over other shotos I've been permitted to use

Me personally, besides the personal canon sabers that I would love to have, I would want to have knowledge of single saber katana-style fighting with a 37” blade, as well as some dual 32” Form V action. Your fighting style sounds very interesting!
Back on task, I'm looking forward to your review of the containment blade since I'm waiting for reviews of it to come in before I order one of my own. I also wait in anticipation for your next Sentinel review! |

Maybe. but I am waiting for this Saturday to get some pics and video of my moves and techniques. Been practicing every day since I got this baby, and I feel like I have gotten past the initial awkward "Not sure how to control this thing" phase. It is so much fun, the grip changing and directional changing is much more fluid than the larger hilts I have borrowed in the past, and I cant wait for the shorter blades and its twin to come in. I feel like I am going to be as happy as a T-rex with an arm upgrade!
