I am considering adding in hilt recharge to all of our warrior sabers as it will allow the use of our 10x faster champion chargers on all of our sabers. The parts to add recharge are fairly inexpensive but it will be slightly more labor intensive and the costs would increase by 15.00, is this something you guys would be interested in?

YES!

Would that also apply to the plug-and-play champion soundboard for ASP?

Hmmm. I'd actually prefer the option to have in-hilt recharge or not, if that's possible. Maybe that's just because of my old fashioned belief that replacing somethings batteries is more self-satisfying than just plugging something in.

It would certainly make me rethink my stance on Warrior tier sabers in the future. Traditionally, I have avoided them, and the need to pull the chassis to get to the battery was certainly a factor. If that were no longer the case, I could entertain the notion of ordering one.

I think this would be a good idea. The extra $15 is totally worth it for the better charger alone. Plus it would eliminate several possibilities for user error, like putting the removable battery in the charger or saber wrong, or snapping battery holder wires from being too rough with it.

In this scenario, will the warrior tier sabers still utilize the removable 18650 and battery holder combo but with a recharge port, or will it use a battery pack like the champions? I know cosplayers like being able to swap the battery on the fly.

We have sourced 3pin and 4pin connectors and will have plug and play champ kits with in hilt rech and lit switches very soon.

Yes definitely! IMO, $15 is a small price to pay for the added convenience.

No brainer.

I think you'd attract more of the DIY crowd with that already added in. I'd seriously consider buying a warrior tier and adding in my own sound rather then doing an empty ASP hilt and adding everything in. Considering the recharge port costs about $5, that is basically paying $10 for the labor to have it prewired, I'd gladly pay that rather than spend my own time wiring one.

Definitely would pay $15 extra for in-hilt recharge port!

I'm close to ordering another Warrior tier saber.....

I am really ashamed i can2t do diy electronics myself otherwise my current asp hilts were loaded with hero spark color 2 and rgba leds.

Although I can do the mod / install myself, I'd usually rather pay $15 extra to not have to. It's a hassle worth paying to avoid.

I assume, since it's a warrior tier, it would still have the same latching on/off switch? (and thus, a kill key would be unnecessary?)
This is not the post you're looking for.

I would pay $15 for in hilt recharging. Im still fighting with myself about either getting an ASP or a warrior.

If I could get it in ASP I would for sure go that way and only having it in the store versions would probably push me in that direction.

Umm DarthTtocs you are aware that ASP now have assembly options and warrior tier option has inhilt recharge port right?

Ttocs is actually eluding to the PnP Kits to include charge ports as discussed in another Thread.
