I think this is a great idea. Further, I'd love to see an alignment guide written up, specifically for difficult parts like the Jade switch.

The problem is that alignment is based on the threading, not the piece so you can't do a specific "How to align this part" because every copy of every part can be different.

I've been given excellent advice for other alignment issues (sanding and timing shims,) but these do not work for certain parts (the Jade switch into the Jade emitter and body.)

This sounds very nice and very interesting, I wonder if pics from the 3d builder or very detailed txt descriptions would be needed for custom setups?

Because the pro assemblies are not designed to be taken apart we can use permanent assembly methods to line up parts that might not be easy to lign up with shims alone.

For the most part orientations will be based on the templates we follow with regular sabers. Blade retention 180 degrees opposite switch, covertech knob 180 degrees opposite switch.

Phil, I have purchased 3 sabers through the ASP program. One was from the indiegogo pledge and then I bought two more after the store launched.

The ONLY thing missing from making these sabers perfect for me are the in hilt recharge ports. Seeing this new option is awesome but...I already bought these three sabers. Is there any possibility that you guys would allow some sort of option for us to mail in our ASP sabers with all parts (champion electronics kits/switches/etc) and have you convert them to this "permanent" assembly with the in hilt recharge?

I have no electrical skills to try and install recharge ports myself so this would really help me and probably many others who bought ASP sabers early not realizing this option would become available so soon.

My Resilient Switches came with three holes drilled on them two at the top and one at the bottom also if i remember correctly main site hero ones have two lit switches. I can understand the difference between main site and asp one would be there just wondered if there will be some options available for asp ones.
 from GreenStrider? interesting. Did you query it when you received it 'cause I'm guessing it was more a lucky accident rather than by request right? With a lot of the focus shifting to ASP Shop where even Warrior Tiers translate as a Warrior Plus from Main Site (with inclusion of recharge Port) it may just be an available option. *revisiting your Review just now, without seeing the 'third eye' it makes more sense with the 4 faux switches that were shown where they were concluded as extras in a baggie*. Thank you for the correction.

I didn't ask for it and it was a surprise to me like you guessed. I even thought to use that backhole for switch and just stick the covers to other two but I intend to have recharge port sooner or later when it becomes available for plug and play so I used one of usual top two holes. I am not home at the moment and wont be back until saturday but when I get back I will take some pics of switch.

:P Away for several Days? is Peter Parker assuming another identity to fight some crime with a colour coordinated Saber Staff? GreenStrider could even work reprising a similar coloured Goblin too. ;)

At somewhat vacation (which I would prefer to be at home but duties :P) escorting ma and grandma for the last week of their vacation (so yes Peter Parker is assuming an identity to spy around local gangsters for punishment while helping aunt May to relax :P) than hopefully after 10 some hours long car travel I will be back to Spider cave at saturday night :D (unfortunately Spider don't have his equipments so need to solve problems with good old way.......fist bumping :) )

Greenstrider (and his big bro Greenstalker) was my nicknames I generally used in MMO's for sometime now where I first started with City of Heroes and my main was a katana wielding super speedster. Along the way I used dual sword wielding ones and they even added beam swords later so you can say it has a special meaning for me ;)

Back on the topic I would also like to know if there will be an option for to send hilts and electronics back to be installed professionally..... I might order a different version of greenstrider (Greenstalker or maybe Greenstrider mark II)

 Yup, that's what I took from it.. Why 10hours of Car Travel when you can..

Or is there a weight threshold with Ma and Pa?
Still.. it's probably better than a 10hour Train Ride...

Anyway...back to Assembly by Pro's.

Sound business strategy.

Asp V1.5

Makes logical sense. I could see some benefit to overhead and staff reduction if SF continues to grow and move ASP in certain directions. (Not going to give away free business advice)

I just got an answer for my question about hero tier assembly. I wonder though if they thought I was asking about hero tier in general anyway here is what Melissa send me back.
Hello! The Hero tier does offer two illuminated AV switches.

May the Forge be with you!

Hello,

Can I request two lit AV switches for hero tier assembly option on shopsaberparts.com instead of double tactile buttons?

On the multi-switch discussion, my Dissident (one weathered, one black) switch sections both arrived with three switch holes. Recessed areas are black, so the holes were obviously put in *before* anodizing. Whether they arrive from the factory that way or were drilled upon arrival, it seems a safe guess that they're being stocked that way.

Might be useful for budding builders to compose a list of which switch sections come with the three pre-drilled switch holes? Or perhaps this is just a first-wave fluke, and future revisions of those switch sections will only have the default two holes...

This would be convenient. My Dissident (silver) switch section also came with 3 holes. This worked out for me since I installed a Prizm into it, but it would have been annoying otherwise.

If you are asking about assembly ones even warrior one has in-hilt recharge port and surely champion has it too.
