TOPIC: 6W Red Warrior Viper (Weathered Finish)

Last June, I bought a Viper for my brother, who came to life as a Sith I guess! When he saw the Viper, he fell in love! I instantly bought one for him! I've had the chance to play with it for two weeks before giving it to him, so I'm in good position to make a descent review of it!

No need to say it again, take it weathered and you get an awesome Sith inspired saber! The handle is amazing! I'm not a great fan of the windows on this saber but hey, it wasn't for me! Now for my review!

Pros:
- Long handle, perfect to wield with two hands/to make a staff
- The grenade style grip give it's wielder a good hold on the saber
- The 3 well positionned claws are giving the saber a good balance, which is a plus!
- Battery section is easy to access (The pommel is ergonomic and easy to unscrew)
- THE RED, Gorgeous and bright color!
- The saber is made of the same rough material as the other hilts! Solid and durable!

Cons:
- Claws are a little bit heavy! Without them the hilt would be very light (But hey, they're giving the hilt its style)
- Claws are sharp as hell, both dangerous for the user and the opponent (My brother smashed my hand with them during a duel! I could show you pictures if you want, I still have a scar!)

If I had to rate the Viper on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 9/10! Why 9 instead of 10? Well, those claws are beautiful, but also dangerous (That doesn't mean EVERYONE would get hurt)!

Are the claws removable? If so, would you mind posting a picture with the claws off? Possibly a close up of the groove left with the claws removed?

Considering this saber but I'm not a fan of the claws, especially after that's the one thing on this saber you didn't like.

1- Yes you can remove them!
2- if you read the beginning correctly, you'll understand that I don't have the saber in my possession anymore! HOWEVER, I can ask my brother to take such a picture! I'm coming back to you about it soon!

2- No need to be rude, I can read just fine. I did see that it was a gift for your brother. I didn't know if you had access to it or could ask for pictures. I was just asking since you are the only one with a review therefore the only one I know of who could possibly do so.

Fair enough, perhaps I read it wrong. Just like texts and emails, the way you intended it may not be the way it's read.

Perhaps I took it as a condescending remark like I didn't fully read your post. Any help you can provide would be great.

I was thinking that this would be slightly cooler than the venomous fury but the claws are a turn off.

I'll eagerly await any pictures your brother can provide.

Thanks, those are some handy pictures. The grooves left behind are hardly noticeable really. If anything it almost looks natural without the claws. Had been wonder about this due to ordering a Descent recently. Btw What's the beef with claws?

I would like to say I don't know, but my sorcerer staff will have 6 claws at each ends...! I'ts, I don't know, it gives the saber a certain look!

Haha yeah you're right! I too was surprised by how well it looks without the claws! I see where you're going with your idea! I'm confident it's gonna be awesome!

Thanks Revan. I really like the look of the saber without the claws and like MD Taylor says, it's not that noticeable without them.

Total game changer because I love the flat emitter and I am one of those people that like windows.

I totally agree! That would make an awesome and very comfortable staff!

I was digging the Venomous Fury but the angled emitter had me doubting my choice.

I love this because it has all my favorites...flat emitter, grenade grip and windows. It's quick connect capable and comes with a blade plug. Light whip might look great on this and I can always add or remove the claws as I choose.

Really opens up my eyes so again I thank you. Thank your brother too.

The claws provide that extra look. like the venom looks like a sith saber as the viper looks like more of a light side/Jedi master saber, or even a more advanced technical. All thanks to the claws.
