Hi. I only just found out about saber forge and i have a question about the 12w light thing.
How long does the rechargeable batteries last before they have to be recharged again? |

That varies depending on several situations, but on average, you can expect about 4-5 hours of runtime for a warrior, 3.5 - 4.5 for a champion, and 3-4 for a hero.
Edit: To clarify, runtime means the saber powered ON. If you have it off, or only on periodically, it'll last days, even weeks. |

I ordered my first Champion Tier 3 sabers a few days ago. I have been doing a lot of reading here about stuff in general, so that I can learn about these wonderful sabers. I have maybe some stupid questions about the in-hilt recharge,
(1) Is it as simple as plug the charger into the built-in / in-hilt port to recharge the battery? (2) Can we also switch on the saber when it is charging? For example, I might want to leave the saber on permanently as a light source for the room AND have it charging at the same time. I don't want to mess around with removing the battery and I am too lazy to do that. That's why I want to be clear on how to charge Champion Tier 3 with in-hilt recharge. Is it just as easy like charging say an iPhone?

1 - Yep, it's that easy.
2 - nope. the charger also acts as a killswitch for the board, so it can't be turned on. This option is only available on warrior tiers, in the "nightlite" option. |

On a separate topic (after reading your excellent summary on page one), I have just sent Etsy-Saberforge a question on whether it is still possible for me to upgrade from 12W LED to 12W+. Maybe my sabers already have 12W+, I just don't know and certainly did not know about 12W+ until today. I wonder how much brighter 12W+ is compared with the already super bright 12W. |

I have contacted Etsy-Saberforge about this. Saberforge very promptly replied that the new 12W+ LED , while not officially released, is available and gave me instructions exactly as per the summary on page one of this thread. The new 12W+ is "...much more focused LED which produces a brighter beam of light down the blade, resulting in far more even illumination, clear through the tip. It's also more energy efficient ... ". I have upgraded to 12W+ , now I am REALLY excited!

2 weeks ago I made my first purchase. I knew nothing about the process and the issues that others were having. 23 emails later and another saber purchase I have to say that I'm totally satisfied. All my emails were answered in a timely fashion, many of my concerns were clarified either thru correspondence or just searching the Forum! Thanks to everyone who has and will be involved with my 1st SaberForge experience.

I realize this is probably a stupid question, but do you get an email when the order is finished and actually shipped?
As much as I may like the USPS webpage, I don't really feel like refreshing it every few minutes. |
