I'm new to posting images so if it doesn't show please tell me, I haven't gotten the hang of it yet.
Don't worry, looks great!

Thanks, I had two other designs but out of the three this one won.

I've built so many using that program.
However I keep I coming back to one that seems unrivalled to all of my designs in the pieces I've combined for an assembly.
I refuse to post it though. Lol
So I will tease you with some words.
It contains 2 ASP parts (Body and Switch) and 2 current parts from SF sabers (Emitter and Pommel).
It will have a dual tone finish and will be 12" in length according to the measurement on the build page. I've glossed it over many times and everything from the lines and contours to the alignment of parts just seems to flow from emitter to pommel and I've been able to narrow its name down to 2 choices.
I look forward to the release of this build program to the public as I'm not a backer of the ASP so will have to wait as many others.
But man… just wait until you see this thing… B)

Thanks I appreciate it, it took me awhile to decide which parts should go in the design. When I build a saber I try to imagine not what will look cool but what should belong in my hand as I fight. These parts have the perfect fit to each other and the right amount of dual-tone. The pommel shroud and emitter shroud are facing the opposite direction which I thought was pretty cool.

Here is the one I bought/will be building for my cosplay.
Jedi, Sith. These things mean nothing to me. All there is, is the Force.

So here's my design, I call it The Keeper! Any opinions on it or how to make it better?

Cheers

I don't know anything about machining or how they build the sabers, I get the electronics, but the former not so much. So I've been wondering, how is it that they'll make it that the pieces will always line up? Can somebody explain this to me, cuz I worry that the pieces on my saber won't line up? Be nice, I really have no idea, so it's an honest question.

They send "shims" which are very thin metal rings of varying widths which adjust how the components screw together by making minute changes to how the parts thread together.

So by doing this the pieces will always line up? Interesting, I guess you learn something new every day, huh? Thanks, I had no clue how it was going to work out.

Sometimes it takes playing around with them in different combinations to get it right.

I never took a picture of my first design for the kickstarter so I have no idea what I'm getting from it now so that'll be a surprise! Regardless I'm planning to give that one to a friend of mine when it lands and get him a electronics kit for it. With the preorder though I am considering grabbing one for myself. Haven't thought of a name for it but here are the parts.

Emitter: Graflex standard finish
Switch Section: Vengeance standard finish
Body: Vengeance standard
Pommel: Graflex standard
Soundboard: Viridium (What can I say?)

I may switch out the Body for the Graflex but I do like the idea of having the covertec wheel instead of the D-ring.

So I've been messing around on ASP lately (this is what happens when you're a bored college student with no money in the lab waiting for a centrifuge to finish its run QQ). I've made a few designs that I think are actually quite good.

The first is a Graflex inspired design with a Graflex Emitter, Switch 5, Flipped Vengeance Body, Fallen/Rebel Pommel (couldn't decide which one looked better. Maybe some feedback?), in 12W Green -

The Second is more of a modern design. I've seen some other people do similar things but not exactly. It has an Epoch Emitter, a flipped Gladius Switch, Body 10, Rebel pommel, in 12W Indigo.

This has been fun and all... but now I want one of these sabers and I still have no dollars. Looks like it's off to see if I can win that golden fiddle from the devil. Hope it goes better for me this time :P.

Here's another that I made. Apparently I really like shrouds and thin neck sabers.

*EDIT* gaaah...still not showing the images I attach or that I even attached any!

Let's try this again. the one from a few days ago:

and another I made today. I like how well I got it all lined up, even the graflex pommel is lined up so the buttons will face out. the cuts in the switch line up with the plate edges in the body. I really like this one.

Yeah I play with the program too much methinks. Some days are just so slow...

Is the length on the ASP screen accurate? When I add the lengths of individual parts it does not add up to what i'm seeing on the total. The one I built should be close to 12" but the total is just showing 8.5".

Am I reading it wrong? Not sure which to go by. Thanks
