Hi all,

I have seen a Lightsaber designed for Stormtroopers on other sites, so I thought I'd create one using ASP.

That's a sweet design! Part of me has always wanted to see what Star Wars would be like if Stormtroopers carried lightsabers like in the original concept art. I can absolutely see them using something like this.

I really wanted to try creating one I liked using the Jade emitter, which is probably my least favorite emitter, and after a lot of back and forth, I came up with the Guerilla. Perfectly suited for a Jedi stranded on a Jungle world.

Jade emitter, Dissident switch, Avenger body and black Rebel pommel.

Hi Borommakot,

Thank you. If it were possible in the builder I would have had a white powder coat finish, but I think it worked OK in the standard. I chose the parts I did because they had the right balance between the aluminium and the black detailing to look like Stormtrooper armour. If I carry on like this I'll start sounding like a real Saber designer!

May I say though, you, =Ottomatix= and the other members have come up with a lot more great designs.

kind regards,

For Tyeth

Oh and something else I noticed about the ASP builder or it might be my imagination..

Sorry ANorris!

It wasn't intentional. I noticed the balance of black detailing to aluminium on switch 5 and body number 10, then lined up the spine of the grip with the switches and emitter details. I was going to use pommel 10 but the Exile had the black and silver theme too.

I have been interested in a Stormtrooper hilt after seeing the Ralph Macquarie concept art.

kind regards,

For Tyeth

You don't have to apologize. There are going to be coincidences. There are only so many combinations right now. And some pieces are cooler than others. It just shows that we think alike!

Trying to replicate my MHS hilt with ASP to see what I could come up with, and also try to find some inspiration for details for my MHS hilt. This is what I came up with. It needed the Resiliant body with the hand wrap just to make it long enough. I wasn't a fan of the handwrap idea, but I suppose it could grow on me. I could even just colour it silver and have it blend in with the rest of the hilt. Anyway, here it is. The original MHS is in my sig.

On the Bastion forum, someone mentioned how it reminded him of Nightwing's escrima sticks. Below is the best I could make on ASP until the Bastion parts are added to the generator. I'd love for it to have a long blade plug, one that sticks out about 1/4-1/2 inch above the emitter so the light shines through.

Parts
ASP . Gladius Pommel . Black
ASP . Staff Extension 2 . Black
ASP . Body 9 . Black
ASP . Fallen Switch . Black
ASP . Emitter 7 . Black
ASP . Led 12W+ . Deep Blue
ASP . Blade Plug 4 . Black

This will be my first ASP at some point this year. I'm going to wait for Sabercore 3.0 and in hilt charge to be available and then I'll make the purchase.

All weathered, Redeemer emitter 3, no switch section (I'm hoping they can cut out a section of the body and put the switch in, like the Exhalted), ASP body 6, and Sinister Prophecy pommel.

Well nobody was able to help me out with posting more than one image per post (not for a lack of trying) so you're all going to have to bare with me. I can only post one pic per post, so this might be about 6 - 8 posts long.

God Bless Saber Forge and their ASP system. With the current parts available, I'm now able to make a very close visual representation of my two favourite Luke Skywalker lightsabers, minus those ridiculous obtrusive bricks of a control box on both and the huge grip on his first Graflex one. So with out any further ado, I present to you what I feel would be the ideal look of those sabers.
