Hi KelbornX,

I tried that finish but it turns out really dark plus I have to add a layer of "noise" to simulate the speckles in the finish. When I'd finished the results were very muddy. As I have stated elsewhere the picture format and size used in the builder don't lend themselves to being edited, when they are resized they become Jagged or Blurry.
And when you try to add or replace black and silver colours the Photo editing software throws a fit!

P.S. My Gamora and Drax hilts don't suffer these problems so should be better, as are GRETHOR and it's special edition version (that's four more designs!)

Hi KelbornX, Brax, Everybody

Sorry for double posting but I've just patched up this edit for KelbornX showing my last design in Mocha Metallic.



Actually in this picture it's not as dark as I thought but when you try to add the veining or pitting it gets very messy! The resolution of the pictures is just too blocky to look realistic (or even close). I guess they weren't intended to be edited the way I do.

And just to correct myself, I forgot to add Rocket's name to the list so that's number five!

New design time, and as a way of saying sorry for forgetting him before, this time I present to you a Raccoon!
Well here is his saber at least...



Rocket himself was a little busy stealing batteries to appear here but I'm assured he liked his new weapon!

Figured I'd join the party over here with at least one design... I usually don't make "themed" sabers (like character inspired and such) so much as just "hey, that design looks cool" sabers.

But all of these recent comic character hilts got me thinking... what style would the Silver Surfer use?

Probably something like this!

Hi KelbornX,

I like this one, it even has the outline of a surfboard with both the emitter and pommel having those curves, and you say you don't do Themed sabers!
You only have to add a cheesy name plate to it and it would be complete, how about this one?

That would be a cool nameplate for it!

I mostly just throw parts together and see if they look good (to me) or not. Rarely do I stop and think "Hmm, what would a saber for look like?" I haven't actually spent much time in the builder for a while, since I have all of the ASP sabers I'd really want until it comes time for that epic staff.

This is the final hilt in my Guardians designs and you've probably guessed it's for Dave Batista's character DRAX THE DESTROYER!

She was always so hesitant about embracing her Klingon heritage. At least until the later seasons, when she softened, at least a bit. This looks like something she could have replicated in her efforts to practice combat on the holodeck, though a light saber might give anyone in the Trek universe something of an unfair advantage. B)
