Main trouble in saying led chain up the blade is you will loose the battle strength you have with these as that type of led chain can't withstand the constant abuse it will get .
Just like the hasbro's currently available.
Nice an bright but not battle capable

My Makoto saber gers the absolute crap beat out of it and it's a LED string. It's all in how you pack the blade with the LEDs
