TOPIC: Wait Begins! 3.0

Well, according to USPS my expected delivery for my champion PS is tomorrow. Now it is my first so I don't wanna make any mistakes, is it recommended to charge it fully before turning on?

It's generally considered a best practice but it doesn't hurt to fire her up the first time out of the box.

Well, I've officially begun my wish list of sabers for the foreseeable future. Quite a few sabers that I may do custom installs on when I become that aquainted with this field are not on this list yet (looking at you, custom Katana(s)), and a couple sabers that I really like unfortunately I see falling under the 'Potential Sabers' column rather than the 'Definite Sabers' column (sorry Prodigal Son and Guardian). However, I've got four definite choices for must have sabers, as well as a small list of Initiates that I want to do custom installs on when I 'git gud' (just finished with a computer, I don't want to jump into saber electronics just yet!).

So, technically a wait has begun. The wait to accumulate $750 dollars for my two Champion tier sabers, that is...

I just ordered my first saber. so i feel this won't be too bad of a wait for me since i've been waiting on getting one since i was six. so whats a month or so compared to 20 years right?

I have a question.

I ordered 1-10-16. I emailed SFCS on 3-28-16 inquiring on my status. I got a reply on 3-29-16 with the note that the Smiths were working on the first week of January sabers. And I should be gotten too shortly.

Later that day my saber went to shipped. With a note saying shipped means your not shipped but just in the production batch.

With hope in my heart I have been watching the USPS site to see a shift in status, as until 4-6-16 it was an unknown number. Once the 6th arrived it went to pre-shipped and has sit there fallow since.

I also ordered another saber on 3-17-16 which is still sitting at confirmed.

I am concerned. Currently I have invested $940.00 in SF product and have seen nothing for it.

My question is 2 part.

1. Is this common practice by Saber Forge manufacturing? This delay seems a bit long. When I ordered my fist saber the wait was stated as being 8-10 weeks. Now it is listed as 10-12 weeks. And I am past that already.

2. Should I cut my losses and cancel my orders? I need some good feedback from the locals, people who ordered around the same time as I, and can attest that the quality is worth the frustration.

Shipped! We have a Shipped notification!! After almost 14 weeks things are starting to move. Right now in the SaberForge grotto one of the Saber Elves has my Exhalted on their bench. Very excited, hopefully just another week or so and she will be mine

Looks like SF has gotten the thin neck parts they needed! Nice to see some Exhalted and PS hilts going out!!!

Just hit Week 10 for my Venom and Week 6 for my Bastion!! We're getting closer

Week 13, still waiting to go shipped....

Out for Delivery, excitement grows.

There was a parts shortage for certain model sabers which was likely the reason for the extended build period. Also, SF is simultaneously working to get ASP/IndeGoGo rewards out the door by the end of the month, and keeping the regular sabers moving as well, so lead times slipped a bit from what they were at the beginning of the year.

That said, there is no cause for concern at this point. SF is no some "fly-by-night" outfit that will take your money, and disappear. Your sabers will arrive, and you are going to be blown away by what you receive.

ordered on feb 9, 16, was going to be at the 10 week mark in two days now its another 2 weeks

So I wasn't home to sign for my saber. Attempted delivery was at 10:30. Anybody think it'll be back to the post office by 2:45 so I can pick it up?

I finally got my "Shipping Soon" Notification with tracking #! It says that it is scheduled to ship 4/13! Now I'm not sure if that means it will actually ship then and only be in preshipment for 2 days or if that will be the day my Saber enters the build queue? Anyone have any past experience with this on their Etsy orders please let me know. Excited regardless!
