How is the Saberlok btw? Always been intrigued by it.

It's very nice. Way sturdier than the previous covertech belt clip. It's a very tight fit at first use,but loosens up nicely as you use it. Your saber is going nowhere while using it.

Since I've never liked how the covertech system looked, I am pretty happy about this new design.

I havent owned a SF saber so I don't have the "old" covertech clip to base this opinion on, but I always thought that the option to not lock would be more efficient, especially because it seems you would need two hands (correct me if I'm wrong) to remove the saber from the clip. I like the new design with the deeper chamber because of what has been previously mentioned in this thread: quicker draw, the stability to run or jump, etc. I'm not planning on learning how to backflip anytime soon so the possibility of it falling out that way is insignificant. Also, if at one point I get a saber with a D-ring it could accommodate that as well

I'll post a video with a little demonstration on pulling out a saber with one hand. It's not as hard to do as people seem to think.

I'm about to order some Covertech belt system (Mine gave up on me after two years of loyal services). I'll try and see if I can request to have this version. That would be great!

Well, I'm far too lazy to post a video of me unclipping a lightsaber from my belt and then put it up here, but here's the gist. I timed taking my saber off my CT clip (old ver.) from both a same side grab and a grab from across my torso. It was roughly a second and a half for my straight grab, and about two seconds for my grab across. With one hand, mind you. That's okay, but I've also had some practice.

Will this new system be loads faster? Almost certainly. Will it name me feel secure if I'm walking around with a $350+ lightsaber on my belt in public? Most likely not.

Does anyone know if this is a for sure thing? If I buy a belt clip along with the saber, will it be this new design? I hope so, cuz me likey.
Light and darkness, you cannot have one without the other. To achieve equilibriem you must be in harmony with both; the path between.

I noticed something while wearing the new clip last night. There isnt a hook/catch on the actual clip to keep it from sliding up and off of your belt. The weight of the saber would keep the clip in place. But otherwise, there's nothing to secure it onto your belt and keep it from sliding.

Dang, that's not good for me. I like to have my clip secured at all times. It only moves if I move it.

This may be a little off topic, but does anyone know if the Saber Forge covertech wheels fit the Hasbro belt clip? I've got one, and it seems fairly sturdy. I also like the single-button release. I ordered a covertech belt clip with my Bastion in March, so I figured it would be a lot faster to ask you guys than to wait and see for myself. Thanks in advance for any info!

Should work fine - Covertec wheels are a standard size based on a European cell phone holster, if memory serves. I've used my Force FX Anakin with both a US and SF covertec clip no problem.

Actually, I've got the Hasbro Qui-Gon Saber. That actually has a wheel as well as a clip, and the wheel worked okay with my CT clip.

I tested the clip with my regular, walmart, thick leather belt and just as I thought, the clip slid off the belt and flew about 2 feet away from me as I drew my saber. The back of the clip is smooth and there's nothing to hook/catch/grip your belt. I may put a small strip of grip tape on the back to see if that helps. But it seems like this is a pretty big design flaw that should have been caught by the designers.
