Forearm holster sounds interesting. Sort of like the old Thundarr the Barbarian toons way back when. He wore his Sunsword on his forearm. Hmmmmm.

You should seriously patent that name and start a company that makes Star Wars tactical gear! Saber and blaster holsters, thermal detonator pouches. "SWAT" gear might become the biggest name in Star Wars cosplay!

Yes, please try to patent something with the phrase 'Star Wars' in the title and let us watch what happens! :)

True. I was so impressed with the acronym that I forgot that "Star Wars" might already be taken... Haha!

Similar to Jaden Korr's re-post of the 'Kota' style, it reminded me with how one carries their
Sab-rella during the wet season.

Then Greysider goes and mentions toons, being fond of the Original and the Re-animated versions, I thought of a famous Gauntlet or Claw Shield with a what is technically now made into a Lightsaber.

Good times...

I'm not sure if it was on this forum or not, but I saw a photo not too long ago of a guy who was wearing his saber on like a chest harness. May have had two sabers, I don't really remember. I couldn't seem to find the photo for a reference, but it was kind of cool looking too.

So something like Galen Marek has in the "Betrayal" trailer for The Force Unleashed II?

Yeah, the guy in the photo had a setup pretty much the same as that. Probably better suited for dual wielding.

Once the ASP shop is open, I plan on making a short saber version of mine for dual-wielding. I was kinda thinking of ideas in the same vein - a sort of body holster on the torso for easy/quick access. Cool to see some of the ideas already up in that same train of thought. I'm not crafty at all, but I'm tempted to give it a try and make something.
Literally. The worst.

Uhmm, good question. Right handed, I 'd wear on my right side with it curving rearward. What do you think?

Hmm.. What do you use to attach it to you? Or do you do the ghetto holster and stick it in your belt?

Maybe it's me (personal preference has a lot to do with it), but if I were using a curved saber, I wouldn't put it rear-facing on the right side. I'd either put it rear-facing on the left or forward facing low (maybe a thigh holster?) on the right. Purely for quick drawing purposes. If you have it rear-facing on the same side as your dominant hand, you can't just grab and ignite, you'd have to flip the saber around first.

Does that make sense? >.>

I just checked out your pictures again, and I realize your dilemma. There is no covertech knob on your saber.
I've seen others with them, that's odd.
Sorry can't get the link to work Ugh. Goto YouTube and Check out Shameems H.R. Giger Alien bane. He mentions some production issues but it shows where to install. Not sure why you didn't get one?

I also found a review here on the forum( Bane w/covertech) and honestly the fit doesn't look that great. the knobs are milled with a curved underside to sit flush on the cylindrical body of most hilts. Doesn't look so good on the pommel location where it's suppose to mount. You might consider checking out TCSS, They have flat bottomed knobs that might look better, and may allow you to mill /file them to fit in a more lo profile position. Different color options as well.

Drahem,
Hmm.. What do you use to attach it to you? Or do you do the ghetto holster and stick it in your belt?
An interesting predicament you have there. I quite like the Holster idea given the curved design as it resembles a pistol (of sorts). What are your thoughts with installing a Tri-Ring to the Pommel? Or to go with the former, portrayed so perfectly by Billy Connolly as Il Duce in Boondock Saints,

Hmm, that holster idea is pretty clever. I don't think I've seen anyone try it, but it makes a lot of sense.
Yoda of Borg am I! Assimilated will you be! Futile resistance is, hmm?

Hmm.. Gotta look through my crap and find my m9 holsters.
We used to use these instead of the drop leg holsters to walk around the fob.

It was only one sidearm and magazine holders, not dual sidearms.
