Sounds like they are achieving some success in dialing back the lead time on both the Etsy site, and the main site.

My choice for an apprentice saber was a combination of cost, aesthetics, and wait time. You just can't go wrong starting at $49! The angled emitter shrouds are the only ones that really appeal to me personally, and there aren't many hilts with that feature. Plus, dropping a fortune on a piece of artwork like the Monarch, with a 14-week wait time no less, isn't super practical as a first saber, so a Disciple from Etsy was the way to go for me! I wish the Mauler came out in time to use it for that Father's Day deal. A free Apprentice saber would have been a nice addition. At first I was all about the Consular, but the Disciple has really been growing on me. It would be cool to use it with a Shoto blade and the Fury as a dual wield. |

My order was on the 1st, so hopefully that means it'll be shipping soon as well.
Their Etsy wait time actually has increased a few days/about a week... but it's entirely understandable. They had a big memorial day sale, and then the Bane released absolutely hammered their Etsy store, lol. |

Yeah, a few days to a week is not a huge deal to me.
This wait time is peanuts compared to what I endured thru the website wait time lol Have you noticed in the photos of weathered Bane, it contains a black body a/v switch?? That's what I inquired to SF about. They're going to install a black body a/v switch in my Phoenix for me! It'll blend in nicely with the black grip and just a small detail that I really wanted. |

Yeah. From what I see, the wait time on the site seems to be coming down around 8 weeks, which is a lot better there, too.
The up time on etsy is only normal... they exploded with several hundred orders recently so, you gotta figure that's coming lol. The black Av switches were a topic of discussion on facebook a whIle back. I believe the end result was to begin offering them as default on weathered sabers and silver switches on standard, with the choice to request a custom switch at some point. I haven't seen it mentioned again since then but it does seem like that may be the direction they're taking with the bane at least. |

That is a lot better of a walt time on the site.
That's interesting to note, I've only been a part of the SF FB group recently. Unless it was mentioned on a different group? And didn't see any mention of the black a/v switch. I like the option though. In my opinion, the more options the better in terms of being able to personalize a saber to ones styles and tastes. If only they made greeblies more accessible. |

This must be a massive load hitting the work bench, I see a LOT of people saying they got their Etsy shipping notifications today, lol. I also got mine, for my consular. It can't come soon enough...
The saber-less-ness in me is hurting bad.... having a bunch of sabers on order and none in hand suuuuucks lol. |

So I am completely saber-less until the arrival of my Phoenix. I've been eyeing up the Prosigal Son for some time now. Perhaps that and the Mauler staff configuration will be my next 2. Prodigal Son most definitely. SF even sent a code to use on Etsy which will at least help me save most of the cost of shipping to Canada. |

That's awesome! I have just purchased my first two Saberforge sabers which are both coming from Etsy. They are the Champion 12W Gladius and Acolyte. After waiting for two weeks for my "Not Shipped" to get updated, It finally has. It now shows is as "Shipping Soon" and i was told that the shipping label will be created tomorrow. I am so pumped up for these two orders i don't know if i can hold on any longer. LOL. I was told that it would take 1-2 weeks to ship out. So close, and yet so far away.

Just curious, do you get another note from SF telling you it's been shipped? Or do you just check each day to see it change? Frankly when Etsy says shipped, it should be actually shipping. I don't get why they create a shipping label just to have it sit there in shipped status, as it leaves them vulnerable for bad reviews. Etsy gives a few days for shipping before you can rate the service, and it's pretty sad that your sitting waiting for it to actually ship still and the review wait period has ended. I'm curious why they choose to do the ship labels this way...
What they should be doing is sending a note/email when it's hitting the bench. THEN create the shipping label when it's actually ready to be shipped out. Business logic doesn't seem quite right at this point and hopefully they will make changes accordingly. ~ TD |

I cannot tell you why they choose to do it this way, but that's how they do it and there is no note from them nor from Etsy. You pretty much have to check it daily.
Mine actually changed from shipping to in transit as of yesterday (June 8th). Which is perfect timing for me as it will reach me in Canada by the time I return home in the middle of next week. And boy am I excited to get the Phoenix in my hands. Then just waiting for TCSS to get some random pieces in stock and I'll be doing some minor customizations to this baby. |

Based on your original note as to when you got your ship info, it looks like it took them almost 2 full weeks to actually build/ship. Sigh...

My original note was to see if etsy provided a shipping notification as the website does as this was my first etsy order and my inquiry was only 2 weeks after the order date.
It took about 5-8 business days to change from a shipping notification to in transit if that helps out any. My actual order date was June 4th if that helps you gauge a time frame for yours. |
