hope there's a BB-8-print fabric among the choices. I'd love to make a BB-8 dress or scarf...like I need more things to sew, lol.
BB-8 is pretty much the cutest thing ever. Seriously. It's up there with kittens.

Can't wait to see what role he plays in this new chapter of the saga. Comic relief, or serious character? I am hoping for the latter, but we will see in just over 100 days!

I'm sick of comic relief in star wars. Jar jar over killed it and some of the literally painful puns from 3PO in episode 2 had me wanting to burn the film prints..
Seriously the lines "oh this is such a drag!" and "well, I'm beside myself" should never have been uttered. Ever. So. I hope that he's a serious character, and the comic relief comes in the form of witty banter like in jj's star trek movies. Much better if you ask me. Oh, and is it the fourth yet? I want new legos. |

George had a not so subtle penchant for throwing things in for the kiddies. Jar-Jar, Ewoks, bathroom humor, and the most egregious transgression of all, Greedo shoots first (then revised to they shoot simultaneously). The ESB, and ROTJ were only sprinkled with them, likely because George produced, but did not direct those, though he did add some kiddie bullshit in the special editions. Since he produced and directed all three of the Prequels, well we see what he did there. I am sure JJ is hyper-aware of exactly what the complaints were about the previous films, and will be circling miles away from any of those pitfalls. Episode VII might be the darkest, most consistently serious entry we have had since ESB, and I am looking very much forward to it! |

I hope the new books up their quality. I didn't read Kevin Hearne's book for the bashing it got in reviews, and I had to stop two thirds of the way through Lords of the Sith - it just broke so many things that were established in Star Wars canon, it was as if the author had never watched the movies. The entire opening scene is predicated on tracking a ship through hyperspace jumps, which the movies state is impossible, and then Vader gets into fights and is doing ninja backflips and stuff. Seriously?
I liked a lot of the old EU novels, I want some better stuff to start coming out... |
