Would the yellow colour of the Jedi Temple Guards in the Clone Wars be cannon?

Yes, everything from the Clone wars and Rebels are canon

Found this while surfing today and thought it might be useful as a reference. Looking at the newer sabers, Kylo Ren's crossguard and the saberblaster and Inquisitor saber from the Star Wars Rebels animated series, it's pretty obvious that someone has decided the old, elegant weapon from a civilized age is boring and that light sabers need to be jazzed up a little. Just waiting for the appearance of the two-handed Claymore saber and the pinwheel saber next...

PS: here's a link to the original page if the graphic is too tiny on SF

I'm still not okay with the notion of a saberblaster. Though let's be fair, Obi-Wan was referring to the weapon as it existed before the fall of the Jedi.

I find the whole Disney canon stupid. It removes all of the Old Republic storys, the Bane trillogy...there is just too much to list.
I love the storys in the EU

I found out about the saber blaster yesterday through a "Top 6 most Unique Lightsabers" youtube video I saw. I didn't even know there was a new Star Wars cartoon. But what was extra funny was 2 days before that me and my roommate were nerd-arguing. I was saying how I thought the Kylo crossguard was trying too hard and I thought it looked dumb. He was arguing that 2 bladed saber staves are stupid as hell and made way less sense than the crossguard that he loves so much. I told him the only thing I could think of that'd be more stupid would be a lightsaber gunblade. lol

Also, where the heck are the orange and yellow blades? I'm pretty sure those colors are cannon too

  • Remember, [Force] abilities are not inherently good or evil; it's how you use them.

If you are referring to the picture, they stuck yellow under the green section with Ashoka's hilts.

Still hoping a certain character ends up with a non blue or green saber in the new movies.
Owned: MR Vader
Ordered: ASP saber "Interceptor," Korbanth Graflex 2.0
Wish List: Crossguard saber, Ventress-inspired

The Inquisitor lightsaber just doesn't make any sense. I know games and fantasy artists like to make weapons with entirely enclosed hilts like that but it just restricts the way you would be able to use it. I would have been okay with a semi-circle though. It would look like a handguard but just wouldn't actually do anything unlike the crossguard saber.

I think they just really, really wanted to use the spinning gimmick.

Heh. Sounds like a fun argument. I thoroughly enjoy both the crossguard and saber staves, myself. I like new designs, within reason (subjective though that always is).
