TOPIC: Warrior Progeny in Arctic Blue

Well, it seems I'm making the inaugural post in this board.




I bought this saber off of the Etsy site on February 17. As of this writing, (March 10) the saber arrived yesterday. It was actually scheduled for Thursday, but that was no fault of SaberForge. There was simply nobody here who was awake to sign for the package. I work 3rd shift, so I was sleeping when the delivery attempt was made. Anyway, I got it today. So, from order to receipt was just shy of 3 weeks. Not too bad.

I couldn't be happier with this saber. It's (obviously) styled off of the Graflex saber, as it appeared in the movies, but it's a slimmed down version that's perfect for wielding. It's the right length for a Graflex hilt, but it's not as thick. Also, the grips aren't as thick, so it's got a nice girth overall. Most of the details of the Graflex saber are duplicated on this saber, but most are also machined into the hilt, rather than being raised bits. This makes for a much more comfortable wield, either as a one handed or two handed saber. I ordered mine in Warrior tier, because I already had a Graflex with sound on order. But, Warrior tier doesn't bother me, I don't need all of my sabers to make sounds. And, I got it in Arctic Blue. I toyed with the idea of Indigo, but I don't think I'd be happy with a Graflex style saber in any color other than a shade of blue. Arctic Blue is a nice blue and green mix, it's a great color. I also requested a 32-inch blade in the order notes, so that's what they sent me.

Wow great looking saber! Can u give some dimensions? Is the bunny ear part removable? I plan on painting it in the future.

Can you provide some pics show height comparison with other graflex?

If I bought from etsy, it will come faster than directly buy from SF site?

I want to buy Progeny and Xiphos BUT... my order (my first bought from SF site) confirmed at Nov 30th,2017 UNTIL NOW (Mar 10th,2018) not even shipped.
What I bought is just some ASPs that NOT PREORDER/OUT OF STOCK when I select them. I'm really don't know what's going on at SF' factory.

So... I think I'll hold my urge from now.

If you feel uncomfortable with the "wobble sound" from its D-ring, maybe you can shroud it with transparent heatsink to reduce the wobble.

Hot damn, that's a lovely thing! I'm not big on the Graflex personally (though I've come around in the past couple years thanks to TFA and TLJ), but this thing is pushing all the right buttons for me.

Nice. I'd been planning on doing a stunt version of a Graflex for dueling (No control box, lower profile grips, and smaller OD) but it looks like Saber forge beat me to it, and it looks excellent. I will definitely be buying this in the near future.

Anybody body know if they are going to make a Darth Vader like apprentice saber? Add that to the progeny and the chosen and you've got a nice apprentice original trilogy collection. Though with a couple 3d printed parts and some black spray paint/ powder coating, and you could make a decent DV6 (The ROTJ stunt saber based on a graflex.) Might be a future project for me.
