Picked up one of these, waiting on a SC2 to arrive in the post, and have not decided which hilt to use, so some pictures of the led. also of the 2 sabers I have I could install, also input request on the princess, I may take away its control box and install a left over PS box I had leftover when I converted my PS to a v2.

I also may want some kind of coating on the princess, it just to plain which is why its been sitting for awhile now.

Here is the led, which will make great use of all 4 channels on the SC2, I think the lens is good enough it wont have too much deflection on the edge on the holder.

Here are the hilts, I added on Graflex button to the phoenix, it wont be easy to do the wiring for it but gonna give it a go.

Cant wait to see how this turns out. What color dice?
Do you have a similar colored XQE quad cree or XP-E2 tri cree to compare it to?

I got this one in Blue/Royal Blue/Green/White, hopefully get a good range of blue and green for it. I'm sure I have a few tri-crees and x4's to compare with it :)

Well, here's a dirty "Princess" to give you some inspiration...

Not sure how I feel about the PS box on that saber. Looks a little... chunky, and out of place. Red button looks great on the Phoenix though.

Definitely curious how those LEDs turn out. By my basic understanding of optics, those look to be a much better quad solution. Tempted to get one myself in RGBA to compare to RGB tri-Crees that I have.

I like that pattern on that princess, I'd like a clean version of that, guess I need to find someplace to get it powder coated around me, or maybe have one of my body shops paint in a nice black car paint and clear it.. and I changed my mind on the box already it makes a comfortable saber uncomfortable.

So basically, black in the grooves and choke? That'd look good.

Here was the pre-weathering version of the body of my Princess (control box was already done). Just flat black paint. Since SF doesn't have pics of, or offer this hilt, with a black finish.

Install and weathering was done by Soroc Sabers. Not sure the exact paint he used on it. Any flat black enamel should work though. I could have done the weathering myself (and using Aluminum Black) but I wanted to see his take on the concept, since he does a lot of his personal sabers like this and they look awesome.

Really curious to see how those LEDs turn out. I was tempted to snag one when they went up for sale but I decided to wait and see.
