Again I'm new to Sabers, so what color are available? I really would like to have a yellow blade because I believe if I would have a character it would be in the form of a Jedi sentinel. I believe that my life better simulates that aspect.
I haven't seen a yellow option, that's why I ask... I also really like the weathered options.....To me the simple looking lightsaber s grab my attention more so. |

In such a color-comparison I've been waiting a long time. Thank you, Mario. First, I always wanted an amber LED, but now I'm in yellow. And I must say, this decision was the right one. Also for my costume planning a yellow blade fits better than the amber.

 ) in yellow.I would like to see a line-up of white, yellow, amber, blood orange and red all in one shot! |

SaberForge doubled their selection of colors recently. Just select one of the Elite Sabers from the left hand menu on their website and configure a Warrior, Champion, or Hero saber, then you can see the full list of available colors from the drop down menu, as well as an embedded video at the bottom of the page showcasing all their new colors. |

The yellow / oranges are by far my favorite Saber colors.
I currently have a 12 watt SF Gladius in Yellow - Its my favorite shade about an hour after a new charge A Pyrestone Orange - US Bellicose - I do really like the color of this blade but the mixing is slightly off so I get a green tint to it sometimes (I have had to turn that in twice now to US to get it fixed) I also own a US DSI with the color changing driver that I cannot think of the name right now... that usually is in an Amber type orange. My next purchase will be a Venom - 12 Watt Amber |

I'm looking to buy my first lightsaber and I'm having trouble deciding between 12w red or 12w amber. I prefer red but amber looks good too. Is amber brighter than red? What are y'all's opinions on red vs amber?

Brightness when referring to the same wattage output is usually a preference of the users eye. Amber will probably come off brighter as it is a lighter shade color as red is a darker shade. Like white is going to come off as brighter even though a navy blue in the same wattage is brighter. When referring to color temperature - Red is technically the "hottest color" yellow, then shades of light orange to darker red orange then to complete red scale are the hottest of the color temperature scale. In my experience Amber will photograph better than red because most cameras cannot deal with balancing a red tone, not to mention a very hot red like a 12 watt red. Go with what you like, the "brightness" is relative to your own vision. |

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and just received my first lightsaber today. It's a warrior level Gladius in amber. It is definitely a shade of orange which is what I wanted. The hilt is practically perfect and I am stoked! I'm at work right now, but here are a few quick pics from my phone. |
