No budget suggestion would be two vipers or venoms. But that's just me. I think they'd both look awesome with the claws at both ends.

A cheaper option would be two of the apprentice savers. That's what I'm looking at (or a second resilient)

Well, brace yourself! I want a weathered Medium blue staff with a leather grip. The grip will probably be Bronze Stingray! Problem is: I don't really like the hilts that include a leather grip.

The saber is for a Jedi Character, jedi that survived the destruction of the Jedi Temple by the Sith Empire and is now working on his own against the empire. I had in mind a custom Weathered Sinister Prophecy with leather grip... But I just can't say OK, THAT'S IT, I'M GOING WITH THAT! I've looked up many other options, like 2 standard venoms with black claws and a black leather grip or a weathered gladius staff with bronze grips... BUT I can't decide. Every configuration has something that tickles me! I want a nice staff I can do a mirror effect with, weathered with a leather grip, customed or not! I want it to be comfortable and easy to manipulate!

I am not the person to ask. I ordered a weathered Sinister Prophecy Champion as my first saber with a yellow blade. Just like the Sentinel color. Got quick disconnect (or is it quick connect? Quick disconnect is a pair of wire clippers. Quick connect seems more elegant, anyway...), so I can change colors. Want some green choices.

Color choice is personal. I know some think that there is a rule on light sabers based on colors characters used in the movies. My daughter and son in law don't want red or orange because they are sith colors. So my son in law will take royal blue (Obi Wan TPM) my daughter can't decides but wont take purple because that is the grand daughter's color.

Me... I wouldn't take red on most sabers, not because it is the "eeeevil sith" color, but because I don't like it that well. Orange (amber or blood orange), oh yeah, especially on a SF Gladius or US Manticore. Or purple on a weathered Vemonous Fury... makes the heart go pitter pat. Epoch or Prodigal has to be a green. (Must say I like the US sun riders destiny and emerald green... cant wait to see them at 12w on a SF hilt... Oh Happy Day, Oh Happy Day,... sing along with me...), blue spectrum across almost all the line. It takes a special hilt to pull off white, but it is pretty in its way.

I do like how SF makes a point of showing the traditional "good guy" colors on both standard and weathered hilts as well as the dark sith colors on both hilt styles

I do wish that SF hilts Included captions of which color they are showing in the demo pictures. Green is easy -there is only one. Blues are harder to separate, especially with 4 basic choices, reds, orange and amber can be hard in some pictures. Need to see a pink (another blue variety) to know if I like it. Might have to punish the daughter with a pink blade if she doesn't decide soon.

But I am rambling... I need a green blade... they are so calming...

And Revan, the Gladius would be what I recommend To answer your original question. It looks good in stingray in the pictures. (Standard brown leather, amber, warrior... tied for number three on my list)

I have to disagree with you! I think a standard finish Epoch screams for a blue blade. I like my 2 green sabers, I could see green on a fury, venom, viper, justicar, consular, resiliant, gladius or avenger pretty easily. Basically anything black weathered looks awesome in green.

You guys are both right/wrong! You see Miraluka, I already have 2 green weathered epochs! I love them, but not enough to say I'm gonna go for a weathered green hilt again! I think that weathered hilts are beautiful when they're paired with bright colors like blue, cyan, white, yellow at most!

Griffon, the downside of a gladius staff is that there is a bump in the middle of each hilt! Also, the pommel of the saber is quite big, making it not so comfortable to hold it the middle (spin it around's gonna be awful)! I don't know if you understand/see what I mean...
