They should be available very soon, and from the main site. He has not mentioned Etsy, but it is entirely possible that some pre-built items could end up there as well.

Prodigy will definitely do for Sarge's saber. Looks like it's about time for me to pick up an apprentice hilt.

I have to say, I am REALLY liking the weathering on these (especially the Prodigy and Aeon). They look FAR more naturally "worn and weathered" than SF's previous weathering style. I'm hoping that this "new" style becomes the standard for all weathered sabers; I'm not at all a fan of the "concentric ring pattern" weathering.

I would guess Easter? Don't remember when the spring sale was last year. I'm actually surprised they had so many sales at the beginning of the year already (New Years, Winter/Blizzard sale, Valentine's, the Flash Sale).

Hi all,

When the first picture dropped with the hilts on the trolley I liked the look of the Renegade, but having seen the four pointed emitter I'm not so keen (I thought it was a forked emitter at first with the third version having longer tines). However I am definitely liking that Aeon Dual Tone and Arbiter (2017).

Nice. I do wish their parts could be ASP, as I really like the renegade emitter.

I really like the looks of these new Apprentice Sabers, so far. And what's better is that most of these were the ones I planning to check out first when they hit the site.

I've always been a sucker for the Arbiter, and I like the updated "grenade" body style.

The Prodigy is a nice variant of a Graflex-style saber; a familiar look with enough to differentiate it. That simple, grooved body is one I wish SF would offer in their ASP. I'm not 100% on the bunny ears, but the saber does feel like it's needs something on the emitter.

For Tyeth, I'm in the other camp of the Renegade's emitter. I was actually hoping it was four-pointed, so I'm excited about it (reminds me a little of a saber hilt I sketched years ago). I'm not totally crazy about the knurled switch section, but that's just me. I'm more Light side, but the dual tone Renegade does look sweet.

I've never quite been an Epoch fan, but the Aeon looks really good. Maybe because it feels a little more "compact" to me. I've not owned a saber yet, so I've never dueled with one, but should the emitter be spun 180°? It seems like the long part of the angle should be at the "top" (switch side).
I have a bad feeling about this.

Hi Justanartist,

I know what you mean, I'm with you about the slanted emitter on the Aeon, sort of. The emitter just seems to fall away with the slant in it's current configuration but it does emphasise the windows. I like the long edge to be uppermost "top switch side" also but I may just be too used to the Disciple/Acolyte or Silver Knight setup I guess!

For Tyeth
(But for me I guess this all academic as I won't be in a position to buy a new saber for a loooooong time!)

The nice thing about the switches being in that position with the emitter is that you can just squeeze them with your fingers while you're gripping the saber normally (assuming you hold it with the windows facing out), rather than having to awkwardly move your thumb to press them.

That's how I ignite the blade and trigger with blaster block with my Gladius when handling it. It's kind of the reason why another vendor puts their secondary tactile switch on the opposite side of the ignition switch; it's a bit easier to trigger the aux effects with it in that position while wielding the saber.

I definitely see a Renegade in my future!!!

I've loved the grenade grip/body of the venom enough to buy a venomous fury. And I've always loved the emitter of the arbiter. The groves don't look as deep as the venom body's grenade grip. I'd love to see a confirmation on that.

Kudos SaberForge, these new apprentice hilts
are Fan-DAZZLE. The price hike last year makes more sense now. Now please get your ASP restocked.
