The blades light up using an LED placed inside of the hilt. As I'm sure you've noticed in real life, things get darker the farther you are from them. The tip of the blade is farther from the LED than the base of the blade, hence the effect you see here. I'm sure I've oversimplified it a little, but that's how I understand it.

Does anyone know when they plan on bringing this saber back? I plan on getting a saber in February, and this is the one I truly want to get a champion edition of.
My friends and I are putting together a script for a lightsaber fight short movie we'll be doing in a couple months, and this saber is vital to that! |

This saber was on Saberforge's limited edition run on Etsy. Only 100 (correct me if I'm wrong) were made. I'm not sure how well this saber did but sometimes it'll be awhile before a saber is pulled into the main line. I'm pretty sure Phil said that this hilt will be available during the ASP launch. So maybe this or the next month? And I look forward to seeing your videos.
