Well, I recently purchased yet another SaberForge hilt. This time it's the Vengeance! This is a stunning hilt, and I look forward to installing on it. The hilt has a great feel, and wasn't as bulky as I was expecting, which is nice, and the interior is nice and roomy. The pommel took me a bit to figure out because it is rather small, more so than it looks. I'm very happy with it, and would highly recommend this hilt.

Sadly I took no before pictures, but I have a few afters. I did my signature aged 'steel' weathering, added a few wraps, and an accent piece to the pommel.

10/10 I like the aged-weathering effect and the wrap! Good job!

You have given me some ideas. I have an Initiate Vengeance (dual tone) from Etsy. Going to install sound and maybe wrap it around like you did. Did you make holes in your wrap and then screw in the screws? That sounds hard to do for dummies like me.

Glad you like it! As far as the screws, I just screwed thru the wrap. Took a bit to feel around for the holes, but it's way easier than trying to cut in just the right spots.

Nice work Muns. Is that executing a similar wrapping-under process you did on the Monarch-styled DIY? Specific to the aged-steel, what did you use to achieve that? I stumbled across a similar finish the other day, by accident, from the residual aluminium sanded dust, mixed it with oil, left to dry and top-coated. But I'm guessing you had a more practical method. :)

Very similiar wrap! And as far as the finish, I roughed up the saber a bit, then applied a light misting of high grade black paint. Then I rubbed it down with some loose sand, rinsed it off, and repeated the process until it looked right. I'll make a video tutorial next time I weather a saber.

Semi-related Vengence question:

Do the grips get in the way of getting the covertec knob into the belt clip? I've heard this complaint from a couple people and it does seem to be in the way.

It gets in the way a little bit. It still fits in the clip, but it has to go in at a bit of an angle, but then it lays properly.

Thanks. I am cosidering this hilt for a future build for my brother and I wanted to know if I'd have to modify the grips or switch out to a D-ring.

The weathering job and the wraps you added looks AMAZING! What size of blade plug are you using for that (assuming you have a blade plug with it, if not then that's fine)

Thanks! It was a fun one to work on. I actually ended up having to sell it so I don't remember the size of the plug. I think it may have been 1 1/4" but I'm not sure.
