Just received my archon hilt today! It's a great saber, has a great length for one or two handed grip. My only issue was a few sharp edges on the shroud. Here's a couple pics of what it looked like upon arrival.





This one's going to be a fun project. I spent all day weathering it, and later will have a yellow led, NBv3 and dayblade setup. Here's it so far:

That's Obi-Munsderful ;). Great execution mate and it looks way better than the black chrome offering through SF Customs. Nice touch with the (what looks like) red button. Yellow's gonna look brilliant against that finish. Well done! :)

Very nice Muns, I really like your weathering job. The Archon does have some sharp edges, but im sure you took care of those. Cant wait to see it lit Yellow B)

Do you think that the D-ring is sturdy enough to use as a belt clip? I just think that the Covertech knob really breaks the overall aesthetic of the hilt. thanks!

Thanks! I basically roughed up the hilt with sandpaper and loose sand to give it some texture, went over the hilt with some black paint, repeated those steps a few times, then misted it with the black and a chrome paint to give it the finish. Then just some clear coat and its good to go :)
