TOPIC: Nero Attoru

My style of cosplay is a little bit all over the place, it tends to vary as my tastes change. Thus, I figure I may as well present this thread as a sort of evolution of Nero Attoru's garb. I consider myself to be a Grey Jedi, hence the recurring grey theme.

The first stage was a black tunic and pants, with a charcoal cloak (Luke ROTJ inspired) that I often wore over it:

Next I ended up with a black jumpsuit which was more of a Jacen Solo G.A.G. theme, still with the charcoal cloak though:

My latest costume acquisition is a sleeveless, hooded grey tunic that I got as a summer option:

That thing was absolutely perfect for SDCC, kept me cool (and therefore happy!) I like to mix up some different costume details at this point, so one of my most recent ensembles took more of an armored Jedi Guardian theme from SWTOR:

That's actually my sleeveless tunic over the protective vest I used to coach fencing (which doubles as my sparring armor). Underneath is a simple lightweight hoodie.

Finally, I'd like to at least feature my lovely fiancee in one of these, so here we are at a con - I'm in my lightweight Jedi garb and she is dressed as Sookie Stackhouse from True Blood.

Any tips or comments on any of these are welcome, my philosophy is that cosplay is always in flux, so I'll probably make various changes as I move forward!

Not traditional, but instantly recognizable.

I'm not sure which I prefer actually, the lightweight garb of the later images, of the slightly arrogant and darkside looking caped apparel. *evil grin*

I figured you'd appreciate the dark side style! Even though I consider myself a Jedi, I definitely favor the stylish black garb of the Sith...

What is your robe made from? It looks very comfortable. I also like how form fitting it is compared to traditional robes. It gives a very heroic sillouette. Also, the sleeveless look is always a plus.

I kind of wish you'd submit this to TDA, haha.

Does the Dark Alliance have a Sith or Dark Side theme? I was thinking about adding some details to the jumpsuit ensemble to make a Jacen Solo or Darth Caedus cosplay actually.

Yes we do. The Dark Alliance is mostly Sith and Dark Side themed costumes, though we do have other sections for a variety of members (Grey Jedi, imperial forces and agents, bounty hunters, etc). This includes both canon and original designs.

I have both a Gray Jedi and a Sith Lord on The Dark Alliance. My avatar on this forum is my Sith costume Darth Malevolence. We would be honored if you would join us.

I agree, I love what you have done with your costume.
