My daughter wanted to be R2D2 for Halloween this year, so we made her a costume ourselves. She's only three and growing like a weed so it's mostly poster board and paper mache - but she was pretty happy with it. And yes, she is wearing a jacket underneath - October is cold where we are.

Not up to the usual cosplay standards around here but I thought you all would like it.

If Star Wars is already that much a part of her imagination at this age, she is hooked for life! And that, in my experience with my own kids is something you two will always have in common, and to share.
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....

Brax you are absolutely correct! My 4 year old daughter loves star wars and is hooked...this past halloween she went as queen amidala. And we are having her "force awakens" birthday party very soon and she will be dressed as Rey....good times!

@DK44
As a parent, I'm sure your Arts-n-craft skills were tested to create a Queen Amidala get-up cos it's quite extravagant as compared to a simple Padme. Perhaps a sigh of relief on your part for the upcoming birthday Party given Rey looks like she's in her jammies? Happy Birthday Lil Miss DK44-tyke.

Cool birthday idea. Does that mean she's getting her own Saberforge saber?

Thanks everyone! Her older sister went as Queen Amidala, so we are definitely a Star Wars family! I didn't get as good a picture of the Amidala costume unfortunately, but it too was homemade and when she wore it to school for their class Halloween her friends refused to believe it wasn't bought at a store.

Right now I'm waiting for my Saberforge lightsaber and working on jedi costumes for my oldest and myself, we are going to go to Comicon together for the first time in fall. Good times.

Thanks for the birthday wishes OvrcAHst! Lol, i was fortunate enough that my wife put together her amidala costume and you are right about the Rey costume....we were able to just buy that one! (much easier that way i guess).

Ramaloke thats funny you brought that up cause i did show her different saberforge sabers and she really likes the Jade Fire with the purple blade! (Maybe santa will bring it, lol)

Master Dain after my post I realized I completely forgot to write that your daughter's R2 costume is awesome! I showed both my daughters and they absolutely loved it!
