They allow you to swap out LEDs without soldering or anything.

cool, thanks. I noticed that if you buy an LED off the shop it also has the quick connect option. does both the LED and the saber need quick connect, or just one or the other? Planning on buying one of these Gladius sabers and wanna make sure I know whats what.
