In case you've been living under a rock, America is going to be in the shadow of a total solar eclipse on August 21st. The shadow of the moon will move across the country from about 9am till somewhere around 4pm. The area of totality will be about 70 miles wide and hit the mainland at 10:15 AM in Lincoln City, OR and end up somewhere in SC.
Statistically speaking, this is a once in a lifetime celestial event as it only happens once every 375 years or so. I was interested in hearing if anyone has any special plans. I'm lucky enough to be directly in the path of the totality, being about 2 hours from the Oregon coast so I'll be in the back yard with a cup of coffee.
Anyway, I'm curious if anyone is making special plans.
