Just ordered my first saber the other day (off the etsy shop). Does anyone know what the average wait time is off of etsy
Got a standard finish fallen with Viridium sound board and an Arctic Blue, 32" blade. Asked for a d-ring to be installed but Phillip sent me back a message that said that that wasn't possible for it isn't available on that saber Will definitely be posting some pictures when it arrives but the wait is torture ordered it yesterday morning and it already feels like a month has gone by |

Congrats on ordering your first saber! You are in for a real life experience when it arrives.
As for your question on how long the process might take, check out this FAQ: Comprehensive SaberForge FAQ There is extensive information about lead times from both the main site, and from Etsy, along with scads of information on other things you might not have known that you wanted to know!

This question doesn't make sense to me, sorry. If you read the FAQ that Brax kindly linked, it very clearly outlines the current wait times for sabers. |

The wait time is the same, regardless of tier. They work on a first come, first served basis so your saber will fall in line the same no matter if it's a warrior, champion, etc. |

The wait time is the same, regardless of tier.
Not trying to muddy the water but my Initiate Disciple came two weeks faster than an Elite Sorcerer Staff that was ordered a week before it. *shrugs*Since SF makes sabers in large batches this sometime affects the order to ship times. So, for example, lets say I purchase a Sorcerer one week and a Disciple the next. They may be working on a batch of Disciples which "moves up" that order past the Sorcerer if they're not putting together a batch of Sorcerers that week. This is how their website largely function along w/Etsy to a lesser degree (which does things in smaller batches or one at a time). Once they have a large batch of stock models of a saber type they then send them out to various techs to be weathered, receive electronics, or whatever customizations might be requested/ordered. At least this is how they were doing things several months ago when I was curious enough to ask about it. Who knows how things are being operated now with their expanded shop and the ASP stuff going down. |

I think the takeaway here is, if you go by the lead time estimates in the FAQ, you will be able to set your expectations fairly accurately, and if it happens to process a little ahead of schedule, then it becomes a very nice surprise.
In any event, you will find yourself checking the status of your order quite frequently (as we ALL do), even when you know that it is much too soon, and when it finally changes to "Shipping label created" indicating the final phase has begun, you will go absolutely nuts (as we ALL do). So, welcome to the club my friend! You will find that this group functions as the best support group imaginable for what you find yourself going through.
