Nice review... Love the chip taken out of the shroud and the weathering is perfect. This saber is at the top of my wish list...

I have an Acolyte on the way as well... pretty excited about this one. Really love the exaggerated choke point and high activation switch. Seems like whomever originally put together this concept/design for TOR understood the ergonomics of actually holding and using a lightsaber far better than most. A little worried about getting to the aux switch because I have bigger hands... we'll see how that goes. I went heavy weathered, red suncrusher LED, non-illuminated silver switch, no covertech.

Its an awkward AUX button either way. Definitely my least favorite AUX button placement. But my favorite saber of all time otherwise. I don't think you'll have any more of a problem pressing it in than anyone else. Its just not a comfortable button to hit.

Its still one of my favorite sabers! I really hope SF will use 3D printed/ Delrin chasis in the near future for their champion tiers as well, I really think having a chasis (if the hilt space allows) is a true added value to the overall experience of a lightsaber.
Imagine a removable battery and inhilt recharge port at the same time in a chasis by saberforge, that would bring them to the next level. |
