So this is gonna be my first custom saber and I want it to be a good one. I started out with this ASP build
However, I decided it wasn't QUITE perfect, and so messed around with it in photoshop and decided that I would ask for something similar, but not quite the same, and definitely with a crystal reveal. (This was around 2am in the morning, mind you.) At first I thought that I would have a reveal in the middle of the saber that could pull out, like the CR exalted, which (with my poor photoshop skills) might look something like this: But I now think that this looks quite ugly. So I have come to you guys for help. Any advice or ideas? I like the look of the pull-out and reveal, and also heavy shattered weathering with reveal, but not sure how to implement them on this saber... 12W Green w/ Viridium sound font hopefully. |

I think it'd work well right below the switch, above where the wrapping starts.

That's what i was thinking, but I dont know if it would work in a two-handed grip that way

I looked at it and was very close to buying it, but I didn't like the reveal chamber (I like being able to have it reveal or not depending on how I feel), and I wanted the whole grip to be leather.

Hey Ben, Are you planning on using this for heavy to moderate dueling? The reason I ask, when you talk to Justin ask if there's a way to fit the reveal chamber mechanism from one of the Redeemer/PS/Exhalted hiltsIf you're considering for cosplay or moderate dueling, it may be a viable option. Justin's a pretty clever guy, might be worth asking him if it's practical. |
